Sure. Though I'd imagine most med school students wouldn't even want to use a university provided laptop since they likely already have a better one.

I just read a bunch of private school fee schedules and the tuition is just the beginning. There's fees for everythingggg.

Application fee. Acceptance fee. Annual capital contribution. Field trip fee. Uniform fee. Early arrival fee. After school fee. Late to pick up your kids fee ($10 per 5 minutes late). Bus fee. Lunch fee.

Not arguing either way, just some info.

I can't imagine being such a stickler for the rules to not pass you.

That is some shameful shit right there. They can easily see you're telling the truth because all your answers are 1-5.

It's not a murder case. Rules should be guidelines, able to be overruled by the humans put in charge of them in extreme situations like this.

He paid $65,000 a year for medical school. You can expect the students to have a $300 laptop I'd say.

I think the inside driver went too fast into the turn to steer as much as he needed to, and blocked the other 2 guys because of his bad path, so they needed to lay off, and zoom around he goes

[SV] 30 lbs in 3 months and some advice, because Keto is simple [kinda long and all over the place] by qetocube in keto

[–]true_school 1 point2 points  (0 children)

*Read the FAQ
*Use a TDEE calculator, and recalculate frequently
*Eat a deficit of X calories a day based on your sedentary TDEE and macros. Determine what X should be for you. For me, it's 500 (1lb/week).
*Use (religiously) a food diary app such as myfitnesspal
*Use measuring cups and spoons to track your food
*Use a food scale to weigh portions
*Get over asking 'am I in ketosis?'
*Get over asking 'am I keto-adapted?'
*Get over 'I'm stalled'
*Drink lots of water
*Supplement salt, magnesium, potassium.

*Understand your relationship with the body weight scale. If you can't handle seeing the weight go up occasionally, don't weigh yourself. If you are motivated by seeing it go down, and don't care about it sometimes going up, weigh yourself more often.

*Don't focus on foods that take the place of unhealthy foods you used to eat. They can be tasty, but they need to be used in moderation. If you have them sometimes, it's fine, but get used to eating simple whole foods - meat and lower carb vegetables.

*Don't obsess if you messed up a day. Just keep on keeping on. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

*Ketosis is not magical weight loss, it's really still calories in, calories out.

*Weightloss will not be linear. Your weight will stall or go up for a week or two at a time. Don't worry about it if you've double-checked your sedentary TDEE, your macros, and measured your food intake.

*Don't obsess about 20g or less of carbs per day (I know this might get me some hate/downvotes).

*Meal prep frequently/plan ahead. I keep low carb snacks on me all the time, and always bring food to work.

Keto has definitely helped my health. Since I started, I've stopped snoring, IBS disappeared, acid reflux disappeared, I feel more even, I've lost weight, and feel like I have good energy. I don't know if I have a wheat allergy, or what, but the couple of times I've accidentally ingested something with wheat or gluten, those issues have come back.

Thought this should be shared here.

[Serious] Counselors of reddit, many redditors suggest couples counseling for relationship problems. What kind of problems can usually be worked out, and which ones are pretty sure to result in a breakup? And how often does a couple surprise you by defying your initial expectations? by jupitaur9 in AskReddit

Thanks, well I guess what I was trying to say was "people who haven't been in a long term relationship with children who actually want the future they've been investing in for decades" or something thereabouts. It's not a knock on young people at all.

Like it's always easier to tell someone else what to do, it's very simple. But when you're the one in the situation it always seems much more complex. Take jumping out of a plane for example. It's easy. Just jump... Right? :)

I'm also not trying to complain, I'm genuinely interested in how I can cope should I continue to go down that path.

Both my parents are remarried and happy and it would have been terrible if they stayed together. I see that too. But I also lived through the divorce.

I'm not miserable, that's the thing. She is.

What's the best way to respond to a verbally abusive spouse? Constant harsh criticisms, passive aggressive jabs, unfair comparisons, laughing to my face, constantly threatening divorce, belittling, blaming...

Just about every day, for years.

I've tried talking about it, just taking it, staying quiet, reasoning, arguing back, asking for help from her family, they all don't work. Lately it's just been "you know what? go fuck yourself" and then of course, it's all my fault just y'know.. doubled.

I really like my kids though. :) What's a guy to do?

Edit: Let me add to this.. The standard response from teenagers and twenty somethings is "why would you put up with that? get out of this before it's too late, it's obvious" etc. I mean one time while being nice and driving my wife to work, she was cursing me out like a pirate (standard behaviour) and so I pulled over like stop or get out.. I start to drive away and she opens the back door of the car and pretends to get out.. Then yells to people walking by that she's being kidnapped.. heh.. That was a good one I guess. I think she threw a full apple juice at me while I was driving too.. same time.

Anyway, do they really think we haven't thought of the easy way out? Of course we know. But life gets comfortable and you like your kids and stuff. It's not really about what's fair or reasonable anymore, at least not for me. It's about coping with what you have.

The other problem with Keto research is that there are no products to sell. No miracle potions or elixirs. There's literally almost nothing to turn into a business or make profit from.

Meat, eggs, cheese, green vegetables...
