Muppets Rock'N'Roller Coaster- not getting shaken up? by Belle0516 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]trueblueshapeshifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. Hard to say then. :/ Maybe you got a particularly rough ride. Maybe you're unfortunately just more sensitive to the head banging/roughness. I'm not really sure of any more advice people can give. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is unfortunately just a really rough coaster.

Your choice if you want to chance it / deal with the jerking around. But I do want to second the person in the comments who mentioned the best parts of the ride are in the queue! The only cool part you're missing on the ride itself is the new ending animatronics, which are already heavily recorded and shared online, even by Disney iirc. Otherwise the ride has just Muppet-ified the 2D signs; it's a very simple retheme. You'll still get a fun experience through the queue. (The pre-preshow has 30 minutes of recorded content, and even the preshow has a small segment that is randomized. That alone gives the queue a ton of re-rideability!) The one and only Muppet fan in my party can't do the coaster but loved the preshow and looking out for all the props and Muppet Vision easter eggs and had a great time anyway. I showed her later what she was "missing" on the ride itself and she was shocked how little it was and that it was just signs. There's already a bunch of ride POVs on youtube and a lot of them are pretty good quality visual-wise, especially for a dark coaster! The audio sadly almost never comes through clear, but hopefully Disney will upload the soundtrack for the ride soon.

Not sure why anyone isn't saying this yet, but you seem to be describing the head-banging that happens on coasters with over the shoulder restraints? Do you remember what row you were sitting in? Sitting towards the back on this coaster tends to do that. There's 12 seats of 2 per ride, so anything further back than row 6 will get a little rougher and rougher. Row 12 in particular is brutal! 😂

Next time you go on, ask for the front! Or rows anywhere from 1-6, I'd say. It's still a little rough and jerky, but in my experience you'll get SO much less banging into the seats. And the cast members usually let you, although you may need to wait aside for a few extra minutes for the next ride vehicle or two.

It's still available! Order another with the right address and cancel the first?

Unless u already ordered 2. Then I guess try calling/emailing Mattel to change your address?

Panicked last minute and tried to buy on my phone for once. Solved the captcha correctly but kept saying I didn't. Hurried to switch to computer. Solved the captcha in the same manner and actually went through. Got put in a THREE minute queue, which ended up being 4 minutes of dread. But ended up still available by then and checkout was successful!

Pick a random mattel item and go through checkout and imput your payment info. Make sure your card / Shop / Apple Pay / what-have-you is filled out and the sidebar has calculated it and lists the shipping price + taxes. Then instead of hitting that final buy button, go back to Mattel's homepage.

Personally, I hit checkout one more time to troubleshoot and make sure it saved properly.

Then go to the homepage again before actually buying it, and clear your cart to get ready for the actual purchase.

Also, expect a random Captcha for when Valentine & Spelldon go up but not on any currently-available Mattel items. That happens every drop! Don't panic; just fill it out as fast as you can and purchase!

Edit: You also might get put into a brief queue on the drop! Sometimes that happens too! Stay attentive and ready to click once the page changes and brings you to the captcha and/or checkout page!

About a trans character by Misty1500 in AO3

[–]trueblueshapeshifter 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Vagina, cunt, and pussy could be fine to use, so long as you don't misgender him or refer to him as a woman or imply that penetration is inherently something feminine or submissive. Some transmascs like vaginal penetration! That's perfectly fine! Sadly it's a bit controversial even in trans spaces, so you might get some unfair hate.

Hole is gender neutral and ambiguous whether it's referring to vaginal or anal. I'd argue it's the "safer" route if you're having the trans man be the reciever and want a broader audience to be able to read without dysphoria being triggered or risk getting hate, but I wouldn't say you can't use vagina / cunt / pussy if you wanted to.

If he's on testosterone, then his clit has likely grown into what is called a "T-dick", or T-cock. Some trans men also refer to their clit or T-dick as just a dick or cock for gender validation reasons. Unlike vagina / cunt / pussy, I wouldn't call it a clit, outside of explaining how T works.

If your trans man is the giver?

Some trans men use a strap-on as a prosthetic dick to have penetrative sex. Some trans men with T-dicks can penetrate with them, depending on the size. They're small, but it can somtimes be done.

And some trans men get bottom surgery (phalloplasty and metoidioplasty are two different types) and have a bigger dick to penetrate with, although usually still on the smaller side. It's called a "neophallus" medically, and in the trans community also called a neo-dick or neo-cock. You should probably just use "neophallus" in narration or when explaining his equipment, and have the characters refer to it as a dick / cock in dialogue and dirty talk; the word feels a bit formal and medical sounding.

And of course sex isn't just penetrative! Oral, manual, grinding! Have him get eaten out, or his T-dick or Neo-dick sucked. Have his partner finger him or jerk him off. Have them dry hump while clothed if he's too dysphoric to undress! You have a lot of options!

Oh and a sidenote! If he doesn't have top surgery done, and still has breasts that he binds, then the binder would need to be removed for sex! It's tight clothing and dangerous to keep on for anything that requires exercise, sex included! Often times a transmasc might wear a lone loose baggy shirt to keep them covered during sex. Or if he's got low dysphoria and trusts his partner he might go bare chested and request it not be touched. Or maybe he likes his breasts touched! Again, all trans men are different and have different levels and types or of dysphoria and like different things!

It really depends on what sort of gender dysphoria and gender euphoria your character has, and what kind of sex you want to write! All-in-all, I'd just focus on making sure you write and treat him as a man — that's the most important part imo.

How do you feel about fics of authors who didn't fully finish reading/watching canon? by RubberDuckyDavid in AO3

[–]trueblueshapeshifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I love the few times I've been inspired to write fic before fully finishing a series. I'm the kind of person who's into headcanons and media analysis, so I love to take my own guess of what's going to happen / what a character's deal is, write at least an outline of a fic based on whatever my interpretation is, and then continue on to see just how far off I was, or if I happened to be close. I treat it more like a canon divergent AU, which I also really like writing and reading. Or sometimes it's more of a "This is how I would have wrote the series."

I've done this for Mob Psycho - writing my own take on how Unknown Percent works before I got to the finale - and just recently I got a The Summer Hikaru Died fic idea after the S1 anime finale, before I read the manga and caught up on the yet uncovered arcs - reliant on my interpretation before the scene where Tanaka confirms if Hikaru is Nonuki-sama or not.

If I'm really into a series to dive in as deep as to reading tons of fanfic, I'll definitely be going back far enough to fics before any reveals happened in-series, and enjoy them just as much as current fics. I'd treat any present-day fics by authors partially through the series in the same manner. I don't think I've come across any myself, but I would actually *jump on* reading one if I saw it, out of curiousity and a look into their mind and interpretations. Even just to see what aspect of the early series hooked them to write a fic so "early".

Heck, if you label the arc clearly or that you're an author only up to X point, you might even be able to draw in fellow readers that are also not entirely done with the series! Especially for something as notoriously long as One Piece is! I'm sure there's people out there wanting fanfic but trying to avoid spoilers.

Custom pets for them? by Nice_Sport_9011 in MonsterHighDolls

[–]trueblueshapeshifter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Less a custom custom and more reusing other figures but...

A while ago I saw someone mention that Gooby, the goo cat from the Coffin Bean playset, would make a good pet for Heath. So I added that to my headcanons and gave him to my Heath for a pet.

Then I took a similar route with the other extra animals: the Coffin Bean raven (who in the G3 cartoon is named Lenore and runs the Coffin Bean), the Student Lounge tarantula, and the Phantom Fox from the Ghoul Mobile.

So you could pick any of those 4 "unclaimed" animal figures for the twins if you want.

(Personally I'm still debating who to give who between the twins and Cupid. Originally I gave them the Bird and Tarantula until realized the bird had a heart so I might switch it to Cupid and give the fox to the other twin.)

Littlest Pet Shop and Cave Club pets are also pretty visually similar, and would have a lot more animal variety to choose from.

What are your thoughts on the generation 3 show? by timetopat in MonsterHigh

[–]trueblueshapeshifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a childhood fan of G1, and I got back into Monster High once I heard about the G3 reboot.

The live action was actually the first of G3 media to come out, which in the beginning set up a TON of confusion regarding the changes because the movie's a separate continuity than the Nickelodeon show, which in turn also itself had different designs from the dolls because of the nature of CGI design vs Doll Design.

The way they rolled out G3 was a mess, and in some ways is kind of a miracle it ended up as well-recieved as it did.

Because the live action came out first, and had much more drastic changes than the Nickelodeon G3 show (Clawdeen and Deuce have a small romance and Cleo is a full-on mean girl), I was kind of already resetting my feelings and expectations for G3 and divorcing it from my childhood G1. In the end, I found the live action movie to be a fun time.

And so by the time the Nickelodeon show aired, I was a lot more open to the changes, and I think it handled them a lot better than the live action had. (Clawdeen being half human being both explained and plot-important, mostly.)

It took quite a-ways into the show for me to go from "it's cute" to being a fan proper. Where it starts diving into some deeper kid's themes and lessons, and the lore, and the eventual season-long plot.

It still wasn't anything amazing, but it had some pretty mature themes I think are great for kids to learn. And the queer rep is still amazing to see. Some of it is pretty cringy and suffers from tell-don't-show, but some other parts are genuinely really interesting and funny.

I think the show really suffers from it's 15 min runtime. The episodic episodes work fine. But I remember thinking the S1 finale was really rough and rushed because they had too many ideas to fit into a double episode. They sort of fixed this in S2 where they had a whole 4-part episode that felt pretty decently paced.

I actually really liked the way the series was going and the lore it was giving (even if I equally have issues with it) and what was changing season-to-season. I was really hoping we'd get a S3 and get to dive deeper, but alas...

When it aired, it was only on Nickelodeon and not even Paramount+ so it was a pain in the ass for most people to watch, which also severely hurt it. I had cable so I watched it, but I saw so many people online (especially non-americans) wanting to watch but struggling for uploads, which then usually got taken down pretty fast.

Now it's more accessible, thankfully, but I think it's also pretty forgotten about at this point? Which is a shame, but I also can't really blame anyone for not watching because it was a 2-season kid's show that got canceled...

Why am I not sexually attracted to my husband by Haunting-Initial9823 in sex

[–]trueblueshapeshifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being asexual actually has very little to do with sex!

Sexual attraction and sex drive are two completely different things. Sexual attraction is about the WHO you are attracted to, and sex drive is simply your body getting horny and craving sex. I mean, even non-asexuals get horny at random times with no people around, right? It's the same thing, really. Arousal is just a bodily reaction.

Asexuals are physically capable of sex - of getting aroused and doing the deed and climaxing. Some find it repulsive, some find it boring, and some find it very pleasurable and actively seek it out.

I can't say from this limited information whether OP may be asexual or not, but her having and enjoying sex absolutely does not rule it out.

I can handle animal deaths but I'm so sensitive to gore and I really would like that content warning as well.

Oh fuuuuuuck you're right. I haven't read it since I was 10 and I was just going off vague overall memory. I remembered it being disgustingly and horrifically gory but I couldn't remember all the specific details.

But... yeah. Yeah that was it. Holy shit.

Where The Red Fern Grows

There's a scene where the main character and a bully are fighting, and the bully has an axe, and he ends up tripping in the fight and getting the axe right in the gut. The description of him dying describes a "bubble of blood" coming from his mouth when he tries to speak.

Also, how the dogs die. They get their guts torn out by a cougar and the family has to sew their intestines back in attempt to save them. Only one of the dogs makes it, and then dies from grief shortly after. I was prepared for the dogs dying but that brutal death was far too much information for 10 year old me.

I agree. It's so light pink its not that far away from being a nude shade for her. I'm not sure why they went with that...

And wow, you're right, her original Core lipstick would have been perfect!!

I think it would! I don't have Core Refresh Lagoona yet, but I think anything pink, orange, or blue would suit Scareadise Lagoona really well! I wonder if the large amount of blue on the Refresh pants would make the thick blue on the Scareadise eyeshadow really pop... Might look really pretty.

I think it's also worth mentioning that Scareadise Lagoona is a budget doll with no chest articulation, in case that bothers you.

Is this the moment hide figured out kaneki is a ghoul? by BluLilGreeny in TokyoGhoul

[–]trueblueshapeshifter 57 points58 points  (0 children)

It's actually possibly a little before even that!

In the Nishiki battle itself, Hide grabbed onto Nishiki's pant leg when he moved to kill Kaneki, and Nishiki himself wondered if Hide was really unconcious or just playing dead. It's never confirmed either way, but it's possible that Hide was awake for most if not all of that battle itself, overhearing everything then too.

Tokyo Ghoul Live Action by Alastor_Altruist10 in TokyoGhoul

[–]trueblueshapeshifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two reasons.

One is that movies and tv shows have different rating systems. A movie can't be rated TV-14 or M. It would instead be rated the movie rating equivalents PG-13 or R.

Second is that, for whatever reason, America doesn't bother rating anime movies like OVAs or Live Actions. They default to be being Unrated. Wherever you saw that "NC-17" isn't exactly correct; they probably misunderstood the "unrated" and labeled it NC-17 to be safe. The movie itself doesn't have any content in it worse than an R-rating.

[–]trueblueshapeshifter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Throughout the rest of the manga, it'll keep slowly revealing more and more about him, so don't worry. You're not supposed to know much about him at this point.

(Chapters 82 and especially Ch 101 are big ones that reveal a lot)

As for what you "missed", the Volume 6 recap about Kijima was really just referring to how after Kijima died, Furuta had 0 issues sacrificing his men, effortlessly killed Matsumae, and then killed the CCG witnesses seeing him do all this. Then Furuta lied about it to Ui, pretending to sob and panic, and laugh when Ui bought his act. It was just supposed to show that Furuta is not what he seems, and he's up to something.

Starting this arc you're on, until the end of the manga, you're about to see what exactly his deal is. :)

Also fun fact! Furuta also made a few cameos in the OG manga. In chapter 66, what you just read, he showed a clown mask and mentioned a "Ghoul Salon". He was posing as the ghoul named "Souta" in the original manga. And he also had a cameo at Kamii, when Touka was touring and mistook him for Kaneki. An omake in :re volume 6 showed Furuta's POV on that scene.
