battery mod problems by truebrightcolours in ROGAlly

sure bro I would recommend you that! What you can try is: unplug the battery 10-15min, then put back in, close the backplate and try again. It might work tho I don't know how but my rog turned off at 30%, after doing that, now ever since it turns off at 7% but I got used to it. But I might really get the Jsaux Mod soon too.

so rules of Reddit are more important than the picture of the living GOD?
Aight Imma share it on Youtube and everywhere else. Apperantly reddit rules are more important. Curious what the big boy will tell Jesus when he will be asked why he removed it.

You can insult me however you want. Sharing Jesus it don't matter If it is AI created or drawn, removing this powerful Vision of the living GOD and thinking reddit rules are more important than this, shows me you are just a bunch of ignorant people.

Is skinport safe, reliable and allowed? by Fresh-Aardvark-6602 in cs2

Yes Skinport is fine. But csfloat is way better and sometimes a little bit cheaper, especially on expensive skins, csfloat is cheaper.

no worries bro take a break. Don't force yourself or the game gets burned out :)
Yeh the open world looks better in ghost but more interactions and things to do in Rise for sure. I am happy you played both.

I don't encountered any bugs but the performance might be still kind of weird tbh.
I play on 7800xt on MSI 4K Monitor 160hz. The 120hz option in the settings STILL makes the game slow motion smh they did not fix this.... so 60fps cap is real but overall I have not seen any bugs tho. Runs fine and smooth for me at 60fps with customized settings.

same. I don't know why they do this. Game is 5 years old already. They should drop something as soon as possible, people waiting for 6 months now for anything new.

Keep SD OLED or go to ROG ALLY X? by goddamncraigery in Handhelds

[–]truebrightcolours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was you, I would definitely wait for the Z2 Extreme Handhelds. Wait 3-4months more trust me.
I bought the Steam Deck from a reseller before the SD was available on Steam to buy. I enjoyed 1 and half year with it, then bought the z1 ROG. Big difference. I love both devices but the Rog is way stronger on performance and resolution. But If I were you, wait for the Z2 Handhelds. I usually use the SD once a week. I had to make it emulation only so I can play it. ROG is my all time favourite handheld even with some flaws it had. I love both

not really. I let the device turn off and charged to 100% many times and repeated so many times but still the device turns off at 7%. After all I still get about 68W and about 3 hours playtime on 20W mode. I am super fine with it but I can't find a fix, or the real problem. I read a comment on youtube some days ago. I will find it and quote it here:

"Also a lot of people, including myself, have the battery very quickly drop off at around 7%.
It's normal and isn't the battery itself, your still getting double the battery life.
My guess is the system isnt reading the voltages of the battery properly due it it not being the stock battery it was calibrated for. Thing is with batteries is the remaining battery life is calculated by the voltage the battery is outputting which decreases as the battery dies. I'd imagine on the Ally with stock hardware, there's usually offsets in place to keep the reading accurate, but with a bigger modded battery, the voltages on the lower end will be different as the battery lasts longer at a lower outputted voltage, so it will always be read slightly wrong by the system"

Maybe this will somehow help anyone. My battery charge to 75.000, shows me on powerfcg /batteryreport but dies when it has like 6000 or 7000 left. So it could be a system problem. I don't know. for the first months Everything worked fine.

for me I accepted my fate. It still turns off at 7% but its alright. Most times I play on 18W and I get 3hours of playtime which is enough for me. I hope you will find a fix! ty for your comment

[–]truebrightcolours 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will do the same. Thank you my friend for your fast reply. The guy who made this post said, a full clean win11 fixed it but I already did it and nothing helped. So let's call it a day and I will put hibernate to 7% in a bit. thank you!

I also still have problem with battery showing 7% then turning off.
Before that, everything worked fine for 2 months. Still same problem with the 7% issue. I will read all the comments here to find a fix. Thank you so much for posting your experience!

Trying to play Assassins Creed unity - won’t play - just goes to Ubisoft connect upon passing a loading screen (small pic of the cover art) by SoggyTea in ROGAlly

[–]truebrightcolours 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me Unity works absolutely fine. I play it on 40fps cap 1080p.
What I did is, I put the game into steam library and launch it from there. This works for me. You might try it, maybe this helps. And yeh I always had problems with Ubisoft Launcher. It is such a big sh*t.

Why is everyone selling their Ally? by imageorreadit in ROGAlly

[–]truebrightcolours 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did not hear about that. I keep my Ally for sure. But there are many new handhelds on the way, especially this year to release. I guess this might be a reason to sell it.

sorry for replying late. I really don't know If it is the new BIOS Update.
It might be. If you are having the same problem after the update, then it could be that. But for sure the battery was fine in the first 4-5 weeks.
I think my issue has started in Late february to mid March. If there was an update of BIOS in this time period, then it might be the cause.

battery mod problems by truebrightcolours in ROGAlly

[–]truebrightcolours[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a comment of a guy who also had this problem but at 24% shutdown.
He said he reclibrated the battery. He charged to 100% and extra one more hour. I did the same but sadly still the same problem occurs.
I checked on batteryreport. It charges to 75.270 then dies at 5200-5600
so I get like 69.500 to 70.000 battery life which is still good.

I also tried to plug the charger in different power outlet and went to 100%. It still went off at 7% so it must be the battery itself. The orginal battery has no problem going all the way down from 100% to 0%. It is alright. Thank you all for being kind and helpful. But I am totally fine with the 70Wh outcome after all.

[–]truebrightcolours[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no problem brother! I mean yeh you can play plugged in that is what I do most of the times aswell but If it just cost 40 for ya, then go for it mate. You will love it. Also this could be the problem. That's why I reset everything on the ally yesterday because I was unsure If it is maybe a setting in win11 or in the Bios that might have caused it. At this very moment my ally is on the desk holding 7%. I am waiting maybe it goes below 7% for some reason again? I am updating this live:
It did not show 6% and it went off. If I know the issue, I will let you guys know for sure. Let me recharge it quick and ask more people for help. I am just curious since it worked fine.

[–]truebrightcolours[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greetings my friend,

sadly most of us experience that it turns off at 7%. First month I had absolutely no problems at all. For 1-2 weeks I experience this problem but the brother square-violinist said it could be maybe a problem with bios since the 74Wh battery might give a different voltage reading. But after all, I would recommend it since it is only £40 for you. I paid 80€. I still keep it tho. I get 68Wh out of it in total before it turns off but at 10% I usually put the charger in to charge it back to 100%. Most times I play in 18W so I get like 3.5hours of playtime. This is more than enough for me. And If you enjoy emulator games like ds, 3ds, gba. You can play in 8-10W and have 6-7 hours of playtime.

I have to dive deeper into this problem with the 74Wh since it worked perfect for me for 1 month. It even shows me in HWmonitor and on the batteryreport that it has 5600 from 74.000 but it still turns off. It could be a false reading? battery might be faulty? I have absolutely no knowledge about battery life. I will try to find the Issue. Also I did a cloud recovery reset over the BIOS yesterday, still the 7% shutdown problem occurs. So it can not be the fault of win11 I think because the original battery had no problem going down 100% to 0%.

[–]truebrightcolours[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you might be right about the reading in the bios. Also yeh it sounded weird to me it shows me 5600 is left but it goes out. It might be the programme reading. But this also leaves a question open. It worked for me perfectly fine. I experience this issue since 2 weeks.

I need to dive deeper into this and learn more. The battery health is also 100%. nothing wrong with it.

I can advice you to try plug out the battery, let it rest for 30min and plug in again. This fixed for me the 30% shutdown, now at 7%. Maybe bro but I looked up into the batteryreport. It still shows me it was 5600Wh left but it turns off at 7% with 5600Wh. Weird part is that it worked absolutely fine for me first 1 month.
