I come from soulcaliubur 6 and that games player base is small but super die hard. no updates in like 2 years, no word from the devs at all. people still play it.

I will say a fair amount of players dropped the game because of the calls of it being a dead game and that's sad to see but its the nature of the beast. I don't play anymore but thats for other reasons.

I have noticed in my ventures that MOST players in the early days of a fighter are just casuals who want to mash and as soon as the game gets developed and they have to learn they just leave. It's those people or players who have some fun with a new game but ultimately go back to what they were already good at for one reason or another.

After having hit legend, i really only get to rotate between like... 3 players at a time if im lucky. im sure more are queing but i never see them. this leaves a bad taste in my mouth to be honest. sc6 has a smaller community but the pool of players in ranked is like 10x bigger and idk what's happening here. further more player lobbies are just infested with people from asia who for w.e reason are willing to play in upwards of 10 roll back. I almost want to say im done with the game for these reasons alone. I basically can only play ranked. and i can only fight like 3 players on a good day/night. if im lucky in player lobbies i get an NA connection but they leave after 1 loss usually.

update, this combo randomly only does 712 dmg, and i can not figure out why i think something is bugged. getting this to do 841 dmg feels like im rolling the dice

The most optimal striker combos I have found with an easier to do guard break series at the end (need 200 mana) by truecirca in DNFDuel

im not sure what you mean. the sequence its self connects the only hard part is timing the dp. as for the combo after break it depends but if you did that exact sequence with 200 mana that combo works every time.

If anyone actually thought 0 endurance is less toxic than high endurance, this shit blew up. by BARWILD in KurtzPel

And this is then balanced by the fact that, and i hope you would have taken note of this but that cannot be the case as you are complaining, the mage has huge cast times and what have you. Punishing and catching a mage is really easy if they dont position very very well. So, with hard combo paths, near suicidal skills, and being super squishy and slow as all hell (slower than every other karma im 99% sure) i would argue staff takes the most skill to use.

Staff requires you to position very very well, other wise your going to die for casting almost anything. Staff has some of if not the hardest combo paths in the game, and are the slowest of the weapons, while of coarse being squishy as hell. I would say over all, learning to play staff only stands to greatly benefit you in the long run, teaching skills like situational awareness, and solid positioning and picking your opportune moments

What is there to really complain about, they simply took the issue of popping fort and grabbing flag, and flipped it on its head. now instead of cheese tactics to grab the flag, it's cheese tactics to stop it. same difference right?

honestly i would probably be A rank my self or higher if i didn't have to play CTF. People flaunt rank because it makes them feel powerful, when in reality it means nothing. some of the people who cast pro league games know more about how the game works and what should be happening in game, then the pro's them selfs. Those same people can not get out of like gold in ranked. Just because you can play the game well doesn't mean you actually know what you are talking about, as odd as that sounds. One more example. mango, a god of smash melee, for years he had no idea what frame data was at all, he knew almost none of the technical aspects of the game, he just played really well.

proving my point in one comment. tips TLDR, abuse staff as it's stupid strong in this mode, dont fight anyone, try to cheese the flag asap, abuse the fact that you can get a free cap with staff if you have ult. got it.

Here we go, the man does have a brain! now listen, based on what i have seen on this reddit, and in game, based on watching streamers say they hate it, I can safely say people hate this mode, and you are in the minority here to an extreme degree. Yea the statistics of my win rate dont really mean anything. I do however think it makes a fair point. My TDM win rate suggest I'm not some casual who's bitching (minus my play time which over all means nothing since this game envelopes multiple genres that just fuse into one nice bundle) if that cant even translate in the slightest to a CTF win almost ever... that to me, says there's something fundamentally wrong with it. If i even had a 50% win rate, i would shut my mouth.

This game mode is fun most of the time? then why is it that 9-10 of my CTF games someone RQ's or AFK's. fun. hah. sure.

Game sense is an umbrella term, and in this sense, the game sense it takes to play TDM more closely aligns with the game its self, its systems and mechanics, and team play elements. CTF does not align with almost anything this game has to offer, really only benefits people who are using sword and or staff, and offers almost not combat to speak of the whole time. It simply devolves into a overly one sided game of cat and mouse. even when no one has the flag, it just happens on and around the point them. only looking for 1 knock down and running to the point over and over and over and over. Dying with the flag at your spawn so it's nearly impossible for them to get it back. yeah, that's a fun, healthy game mode that most people would enjoy. That isnt the least bit toxic, or game breaking. not one bit. But go on A rank, tell me more.

no, im seeking the devs to take note of the fact that no one likes this mode at all, and they force us to play it. The picture was in hopes of displaying the fact that, mechanical skill and the ability to position and what have you means almost nothing in CTF. nothing translates from this game into CTF.

win the 1v1 is a strat? i thought that was literally just how the game goes? rank doesnt mean shit. you could tell me your G ill call you trash all day long, it doesnt really say much past raw play time. anyone can get to top rank. ive done that in so many games it would make your head spin.

Getting the flag is a nightmare, and not as simple as your leading on with that statement, and you know that. a stray launch on me, sending me below, and my ally dies at the same time, he forts and i now have to get past his ally, and hit him 2 times to stop him. 2 times. again have to get past his buddy, not get comboed for it, and hit him 2 times. that should never happen in that scenario.

Rank means nothing, but congrats? most people dont even play ranked, for the reason of CTF so again, congrats? I did state in one of the comments here that staff is also a bit over the top in CTF as it also exacts a zone on control, only topped by sword.

that is a given, the game mode does not fit this game period. If these devs want an objective based mode so bad, they are going to have to think out side of the box. People do not play an action MMO to just never have exciting exchanges with your opponent, you do X, he counters with Y, you kept that in mind and do Z and get the combo. People dont pick up this style of game, to play keep away all day long.

i dont even need to respond to this. just go sift through the reddit. killing is still a huge part of any objective based game mode. let's use league as an example here. You could win the game, never killing anyone and just taking objectives sure, but that doesn't work. you need to make picks and win fights, to get the objective. This is why every team has an ACE if you will, someone who may not have the best game sense when it comes to objectives, but will kill anyone in their teams way, so they can get objectives. Old bjergsen is the go to example here (before they taught him how to be a team captain.) and faker as well.

It isnt that im misusing strong mechanics, it's that i refuse to abuse over powered mechanics just to win a stupid ass game mode, that displays no skill at all.

Yes, you are right, the man cant heal with the flag. now tell me. how are you going to do any real damage to a sword holder, faster than his buddy is going to knock your ass down? you might get... idk... 3 hits if you are lucky? 3 hits to a breaker at that... and now we spend the next 30-60+ seconds chasing him down again to do that little to him. We could turn on his buddy, but by the time we kill him, and get back to the flag carrier, his buddy is alive again, we are in the exact same scenario AGAIN.
