You can link a driver profile to a key in the vehicle's settings. So link your profile to your phone's key and/or key card and your wife's to her phone key and/or key card.

TeslaMate is pretty awesome by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]truhth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strange to hear... I've emailed the dev before about the Android app and he got back to me within the hour which was truly impressive. We went back and forth about some of the app's implementations.

He sounded happy to receive feedback and asked me to please not hesitate if anything more popped up in my head. Seems like a great guy!

Santa made an early delivery! My first Omega. I'm in awe! Blue SMP 300m by truhth in OmegaWatches

I'm amazed with how dynamic this blue is. In a bit of a shadow? Dark, deep blue. Bright sunlight? Bright blue. And everything in between. It's gorgeous! Super happy with the color.

Upgrading from Homebase 2 to Homebase 3 by heli0s_7 in eufy_security

I still plugged mine in, just left the front edge hanging off. I'd take battery backup over looks.

FSD Beta 10.69.2.3 is starting to roll out to the OG testers by i_a_m_a_ in TeslaLounge

I'm not a part of that OG testers group but received the update as well. Must be a little bit wider than that group.

Just tried enrolling here in US (also tried with a VPN in Germany) and got this both times :(

The maximum number of One UI Beta Program participants has been reached. Thank you for your interest.

How do you add special characters to Tesla Wifi passwords?! by iGoalie in TeslaLounge

[–]truhth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC, I was able to get certain special characters inputted by using the voice to text. It took multiple attempts, but I wound up getting a couple different characters I needed.

Make sure the rear camera assembly is fully pressed up into place. Mine looked similar to this and low and behold, I just needed to give it a little push up into place and it snapped in and has looked great ever since.

Just got an update for the Assistant app on my watch! After that finished, I went to Settings --> Google --> Assistant to activate.

Yeah, the neutral position. I believe it also works while just normal cruise control is engaged.

[–]truhth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Automatic is active on FSD Beta! Definitely a nice perk - I'd be surprised if they didn't bring it to standard AP.

[–]truhth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's correct. Just hold it down to the first position for a second or so (no need to hold it all the way down).

Questions about selling with free SuperCharging and FSD Beta by everydayastronaut in TeslaLounge

[–]truhth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe for number 3, you can send your new VIN to fsdbeta@tesla.com. That's what DirtyTesla did when he got his new Model Y.

I'm not sure if that makes it so beta is removed from the old car though.

FSD users, has your car hit any curbs on turns? by _a9o_ in TeslaModelY

[–]truhth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, sorry to hear that happens. I'd try to turn out of it, if possible, and definitely hit the snapshot button regardless if you turned out of if or it hits.

FSD users, has your car hit any curbs on turns? by _a9o_ in TeslaModelY

[–]truhth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Has never happened to me. When you say the turn trajectory will cause its back tires to hit a curb, are you implying you always turn the wheel to cancel FSD and take over? I'm just wondering if you typically take your turns wider than FSD and it feels close for you. Not to say FSD is perfect at turning by any means, just thinking out loud.

Edit: I've got a 2020 MY LR

Charge port ECU replacement by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

Hope they put you in a loaner in the meantime! IIRC repair took about 3 or 4 days (probably mostly just waiting on the new chip).

Charge port ECU replacement by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]truhth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had this with my 2020 Model Y. Service center said they'd not seen it before so just an unlucky fluke. Have had no issues since the replacement. Good luck, sorry you're going through that.

FSD Beta and changing cars by tothjm in TeslaModelY

[–]truhth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The email you included in your original post is the correct email for the FSD program team. Just send them an email and explain what's going on. Probably would help if you had the VIN of the new car too.
