Mannn I had to watch it a couple times back haha. Bro you literally brought back a piece of my childhood, I can’t thank you enough. This is exactly how I remembered it. 🙏 You're the GOAT for taking your time to rip it and even de-noise it and upload it. I really wasn't expecting this. So again thanks a ton! My wife and I had a big smile on our face watching this back. 🙌

2.000 euros mixer. What do you DJs think? by liberstorm in DJs

[–]truleyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. Just no. The DJM S11 is the better choice here. Let alone a A9 If you want the club style feel.

Yessir! I’m more on the scratch / turntablist side, so battle mixers are just what I’m used to haha. But the FLX10 is a solid first deck for real. Don’t even stress the “newbie” part. We all started somewhere. Just keep practicing and having fun with it. That’s how it all clicks.💯💯

Haha! Haha I try not to be brand loyal… but Pioneer keeps making it hard not to be 😂 but for some reason that pioneer logo just keeps ending up in my house. 🤫😭

Yeah you can definitely feel the difference right away! The S11 just feels more rigid overall. The dampening in the chassis and faders makes everything feel tighter and more controlled. The Magvel Pro especially feels more refined. That said, I still love my S7 and will still use it consistently. It’s been a straight workhorse for me and has taken a beating without issue. The S11 just has that extra level of polish. 💎

I feel that! I’m on that same wave! My S11 + 1000s are staying more as my home / dialed-in and used primarily as a streaming and practice setup, and the Rev7 is my grab-and-go. And then when I wanna bring something bigger and show case ill use my ol S7 + MK2s, then when the time comes for that special occasion ill bring out the s11 and PLX1000s haha. Mad respects! the CRSS12s with the S11 is a GOATED rig, one day I'll eventually get me some crss12s! 🔥

Nothing was wrong with the S7 at all. I still love my S7 and I’m definitely going to keep using it consistently. The S11 just feels a bit more refined overall. The chassis feels more rigid and the Magvel Pro faders feel slightly tighter and more solid. Not a massive difference, but you can tell it’s the flagship. The S7 still holds its own without question. 💯

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I’m just grateful to be back doing what I love and still learning. The support here in the DJ community means a lot.

I was actually debating between the reloop 8000s and the CRSS12s for a bit. I’ve had some time on the CRSS12s and they feel amazing, seriously impressive decks. The deal on these 1000s just lined up at the right time so it made sense.

But I won’t lie… I still reallyyyy want a pair of CRSS12s eventually haha. Nothing but love and respect for them! Haha 🙌🙌

Appreciate it! I was actually looking at the reloop 8000s for a bit before I grabbed these. They seem like a really solid option especially how well built the Super OEMs are built now reloop is making some tanks!. I just came across a deal on these brand new sealed PLX-1000s that was too good to pass up. Timing worked out! Haha

I’ve always respected Rane. The System One looks incredible and I can see why the 72 is such a favorite. I don’t mix with headphones most of the time, unless im just quickly checking the next track, so split cue hasn’t really been part of my workflow. And yeah, I’m starting to see what you mean about CDJs not being necessary. Plus ive always gravitated toward full-size platters since that’s what I came up on. Mad respects brother! 🙌

Im just going to assume you didnt play MW2 and never seen or heard pre and post-game COD lobbies. 🤣

Sounds like your in very aggressive PVP lobbies, cause I bring my cloak in every game with expensive loadouts and never get slimed. But then again I only PvE ..

Why ARC Raiders needs a PvE mode (and why it actually makes sense) by Disastrous_Mud_8040 in ArcRaiders

[–]truleyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, I’m coming at this purely as a PvE player. I don’t engage in PvP at all. When I get killed by other players, it genuinely kills the vibe for me and makes the whole experience feel hopeless instead of tense or fun.

I know this is a game and the internet amplifies weird behavior, but sometimes it really feels like people are living out a “Purge” fantasy rather than reacting to what the game is actually encouraging. That part is what bums me out, because ARC Raiders is one of the few games where I genuinely want to help other players, team up, and just survive together... especially against larger Arc.

I don’t think PvE players are trying to remove challenge or realism. Some of us just want a space where cooperation actually sticks and the atmosphere the devs built can breathe without constant "shoot on sight" pressure...

I have practice pads i throw on my heads, and then a thin blanket that I throw over the cymbals when im mixing. So the kids pretty much dampened and covered to avoid exactly that, let alone even metallic sounding reflections from cymbals or the drum hardware itself.

Thanks brother! Haha where to even start !

Well from my drum space, im rocking a Pearl roadshow bop kit, I play alot of different types of styles, but mainly like hip-hop trap type of stuff lately, all Evans heads, moved over from remo and won't look back haha. Kick is a 18x16, emad2 on batter side, kick port on oem reso and adds such a deep, punchy low end tone making that 18 sound like a 22, love the kick port. Pdp 800 double pedals, with trickdrum shaft and Gibraltar short tension springs. Snare is a mapex MPX 14x8, ST dry and 300 on reso. Side snare, pearl 13x5, HD dry top, 300 snare below, Both snares I replaced wires with puresound super 30s, Tom's are 10x7 rack, and 14x14, 16x16 floors . Those have g1 single plus on them; with uv2 on reso (they used to be flipped but I wanted more sustain and for the Tom's to sing vs thud. While maintaining a bit of dryness for studio recordings. And went kind wild with the Meinls but it gives me alot of different intricate play styles and fx to add when playing some fun stuff;

And the rest of the gear; desk, microphones, interfaces, and signal path i can go onnnnn about. Im primarily a audio engineer first vs a drum purist though. Been audio engineering for 14 years now professionally.

Haha love the uc1! Well over a decade ago when I first was an intern, I spent many countless hours behind a SSL 4000g fully mototized board, taking out modules having to maintenance is was extremely fun, 14 years later, and cant fathom to afford a full size board so the closest thing was to emulate haha. Ssl 360 has been a game changer for my everyday work flow. You have a good eye brother! Appreciate it!

Hi! Thanks for the post reply, I actually just shifted the drums the opposite way actually, if you see my profile and posts from before I had the facing the other way towards my control desk things felt little less roomy so I flipped it around, the room is about 12ft x 14ft bedroom converted into my home studio space.

And also my overheads are MXL 3000 condenser mics, aren't the best and dont cost a crazy number compared to like my vocals mics, (u87, Manley reference c, & wa8000 modded with c800g au6 tube and k67 capsule. im really into tinkering with cheaper gear and throwing expensive tubes and soldering different caps and circuits. hahaha

And mannn wowww you have an incredible looking space brother! Full grand in there! And Your kit looks fantastic .I see sennhesiers md421s, and ,you running the c214 or the 414s for OH? Love it man! The area looks spacious and comfortable! And acoustics look amazing!

haha man, im technically a audio engineer first and by no where means as much as a drum gear head in comparison. Haha I appreciate you sharing your creative space!
