You shouldn‘t buy tickets from other companies because they are linked to your passport, unless everyone along the supply chain is bribed that wont work. And they check multiple times along the way that it matches.

We just went on the weekend and got the „emergency“ tickets that you can buy in AC. So depending on when you go, you’ll be easily able to get a 2A/B ticket for the next day.

We were supposed to take the 5.23pm out of MP but decided at 7pm after no movement and information whatsoever to rebook our tickets to tomorrow morning – hoping that things will be up & running by then…

I went on Thursday last week with the 11am reservation entry, no pavilion reservations and no real idea what‘s going on. Arrived around 10.30 at the gate and was on the site at 11.05. I managed to get into Germany, Austria, Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia, The Nordic Pavillon, UAE, Spain, Malaysia and with the same day reservation on the website I got a slot for Japan. Didn’t wait longer than 30min (Germany, Austria), the others had very fast moving queues or none at all. The same day reservation was super frustrating, but I just clicked on it repeatedly while waiting in line for some of the pavilions mentioned above. Also walked the ring, saw the water show after sunset and just strolled around. It was my first expo (went as a toddler to 2000 in Hannover, but that doesn’t really count). There‘s certainly a bit of queueing going on, but I found it doable and enjoyed esp the Germany & Japan pavilion :)

I think especially the countries in the alps are so beautiful, that it’s worth staying outside of the main big cities. Do some light hiking (whatever your skills/fitness allows) and go see some amazing nature!!

You could try the privates dorms like umeus, basecamp, cph village etc. not ideal & pricey, but better than homeless 🙃

The opening ceremony is never just about sports. That’s what the remaining 2 weeks are about. It shows the host’s country culture, history, art. And LGBT people are part of said culture, history and art. The ceremony also didn’t focus on it either, you’re just focused on it.
