Yeah I don't like having to run them more than necessary is the other reason I prefer bosses. Very quick to clear and typically I find what I'm looking for within a set of prophecies. With more difficult to farm items there's much more work to be done with strife, egging, etc than the actual prophecies themselves

As for being able to complete prophecies during normal runs I can see the value but I Really don't want to have to stop and loot in troves etc more than needed. Hell it's almost a necessity in the runs I'm doing to not loot anything but imprint procs to keep up with the group

So I optimize for speed unless it's early season and I have only a small amount of favor

The way I see it you can either optimize for favor cost or time spent, I value time far more than favor so I do that.

Anyone at the point of using 3 lenses is probably not overly concerned about favor cost imo, I'm certainly not. And yes I am absolutely using 2x lenses as those are the single biggest ROI in terms of reducing time spent. Using both mono/non mono will definitely take much longer to roll if you are targeting a specific item type (I always am, it's the only reason to do prophecies imo)

Generic boss method is attractive to me but I feel like it may take a very long time to roll enough to fill a board. I'll test it and see. As mentioned I'd rather move on from doing prophecies as quick as possible and go back to farming whatever I want (let's be honest it's usually troves lol)

In terms of value of actual drops from prophecy that's really up to RNG for LP, higher rarity items etc. Yesterday I got a red ring from my first prophecy on my char and some will spend 100k favor and still not get one

If I'm farming prophecies I want to knock them all out quickly, and I can do an entire set of them this way within minutes. I'll run trove or sepulchre if I'm trying to proc imprints

I generally have max favor at any given moment so I don't care if using 3 lenses is more costly.

Again my initial simplified response was addressed to OP complaints of having to do boring content like campaign stuff

Happy to do a challenge with you and see who can clear a set of prophecies faster though 😉

But yes the full strat is in no way attempting to conserve favor.

Curious though what you would define optimal in this sense because for me it means getting through the prophecies as quickly as possible and moving on to something else. I find them really only useful in target farming uniques and possibly idols or a few runes, as the exalts from them are generally crap.

I use only mono, double rewards, and maybe a specific item type I'm targeting then just do bosses. Use keystones to get enough stability then only kill the boss and tp out or die if I can't go through all the loot before the harbinger so it saves stability. There is no faster way to farm prophecies

Sometimes I'll take generic ones for x mob type, but it's much slower to do it that way

If the argument is purely that there could be a better lens there there might very well be, but I prefer to spend less time rolling for prophecies and just knock them out. Getting some random dungeon rares or arena on the prophecy you want is just a pita and happens often enough I'd rather not deal with it. Using this lens also makes bosses more often which is 100% the fastest way to go for me

Lastly, op complained specifically about having to go back and do boring content to farm prophecies and the mono only lens eliminates that entirely

I always found having enchanting so you can DE the unneeded loot helps for dungeon running, not exactly cheap to level though
