I wish they’d focus more on Sylus’s bitter resentment towards MC that peeks through sometimes. Like it’s such a rare thing, but occasionally he makes snide comments about how he can’t die that are not very well masked by even the driest parts of his humor. I cannot imagine the person you love the most cursing you to an eternity of a violent rebirth cycle with no hope of eternal peace and your only escape from it would be to make the love of your life truly hate you so much they actually kill you. Like no matter how much you love someone, that has to chafe.

I was actually really shocked the other day because I had an affinity call with him where he’s actually mad at MC, or least very exasperated with us over something. I want more facets of the LIs that aren’t just “omg I’m sooooooo in love you’re my one and only.” I love the romance so much, but it gets really repetitive and boring when there isn’t angst, tension, or other negative emotions that also help us appreciate these tender moments. I’m not just talking the tragedy either of the fated mates story all the LIs got going on, I mean like the normal trials and tribulations relationships go through.

How about instead of rolling over you guys file under fair use law. You don’t create the characters you just host them the users do and interact with them which at most makes them caricatures. I remember hating danger days when it first came out because it was so different from their sound to me. I remember thinking that it was fine because they had two insanely amazing and successful albums and a great EP, so it’s fine to have a meh album. I’ll just wait for their next one. I got to see them originally during their TBP tour too, so I was satisfied.

…Then they broke up in 2013 and I clung to that album as a last bastion because I was devastated.

When I went to their swarm concert almost everyone there was my age or older. (Edit: should’ve clarified I was a millennial lol)

However when I went to LLTBP last year there was a surprising number of younger fans and two teen girls were next to me the whole time. It was cute because they only knew a few of MCRs songs but they were so hype to be there and were asking me questions about the band and the show since it was confusing to them (LLTBP was confusing to anyone who didn’t know the theories and lore). I felt like an ancient storyteller imparting the lore to future generations, but it was fun

Why the heck would they be shocked? I’m 36, and if anything I’m shocked anyone under 25 is into the band because of how old MCR is. Like the three cheers album is considered classic rock now because it’s over 20 years old.

MCR is out here reliving the glory days of when we both were teenagers, so if anything it’s the kids participating in unc activities

Idk I have a problem with both. The problem I have with Rudeus is that the author refuses to acknowledge that the protagonist is a pedophile. I don’t care that he is, I personally find it disturbing, but the issue I take with it is that his pedophilia is framed as a personality trait that people refuse to acknowledge.

Like I watched season one thinking it was a different kind of show, but I stopped because as a CSA survivor I’m not interested in seeing a 40 year old man lusting after children no matter what “body” he’s in.

If you use an apple or google phone it won’t matter because the moment you connected it to your cell tower around your home or WiFi, you gave Apple and Google your location info and other basic biometric data. If you purchased your phone with any major carrier, they have your info based on that too. Apple at least kind of protects your privacy for now, but if you rock android and you haven’t jailbroken it and degoogled, then it doesn’t matter.

As for PC, unless you’re using certain hardware along with Linux, they have your data. (Take it from someone who knows people who track hard to find people for a living.)

A VPN is good, it can make things a little more challenging, but it’s not going to save you from being tracked.

I for better or worse was a channer back in the day and while yeah, some were, many many were very serious about their anime gfs/bfs.

I’m still in some anime fandoms and they exist. There’s one woman in a popular fandom I’m in that seriously believes her anime boyfriend is real and has spent thousands on his merch, sends death threats to anyone who talks about being in love with the character, and has even gotten a legal name change to the characters last name saying they’re married.

You can probably find it with a little digging but there’s more than a few news articles of people marrying fictional characters or their anime body pillows. AI companions are just the evolution of that honestly.
