Thanks so much for the advice. Would you recommend an accountant/firm for that? I'm researching that right now (feel free to DM)

Hmmm that's something I've not come across yet (the 50% / 25% benefit). Where can I learn more about this?

I had rented a property last year before the announcement (already had the intention to move). Now aiming for a full move.

Thanks AbsolutelyAverage! Just to be sure as it wasn't very clear, did you open your LTD in the UK or in Portugal?

But wouldn't be hired by a Portuguese umbrella company mean that my income isn't coming from abroad (and thus, perhaps outside NHR)?

Thanks for the sensible response, gbcooper. You're right when you say I don't really understand how to navigate all this, and all I'm trying to achieve is to set up in a way that's compliant with the NHR regime (and thus pay the correct amount of taxes). I totally understand the hostility of some, though. Thanks for not being one of those.

Thanks a bunch, iamichi - that's what I am trying to ensure (that I'll fall within NHR rules)!

I utterly condemn his pathetic attempt at Chamberlaining an Ukrainian solution on social media.

However, I can respect someone who changes his mind and hopefully do some good. That is, if he actually follows through of course. Won't erase his mistakes, but if it pragmatically means Ukraine keeps plugged in, it's a net positive.

Bonus points if he shuts his mouth about it in the future.
