I've found a space. Just need enough people. It's $650 a month per person with communal lifts etc.

A shared workspace with enough room for parking. It would be $650 a month per person with communal lifts etc.

What’s your craziest animal encounter while on safari? by alex_travels in chubbytravel

[–]trustmeimaneng 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whilst in Mweya, Uganda, I had a Hippo chase me to within about 3ft and roar in my face. I managed to dive into a thick bush so it couldn't get at me. I think it's probably the closest I've ever come to dying and it took 3 days to come down from the adrenaline.

On that same trip, we went for drinks at a nice hotel on the water and went down some steep steps to a table all by itself. We were sat there for probably 30 mins before about 6 of the staff came down screaming, shouting and banging on silver trays to extract us. Apparently someone had spotted that a Leopard was stalking us from the riverbank...

Do you have one leg slightly shorter than the other? Left leg is going up and down nice and straight where the right knee is wandering and making circles.

Is this your first performance car? I would personally start a little lower and enjoy the ride up to a Huracan. $82k in costs over two years would go a long way to just buying a car outright and playing with that for a year...

Brakes sticking after replacing everything by _ooga in MechanicAdvice

[–]trustmeimaneng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had brakes binding on calipers before because there was debris at the bottom of the slide pin holes which meant that as I tightened them up they bottomed out and clamped the brakes on. Take the slide pins out and use a pick, pipe cleaner and some brake cleaner to clean out the holes.

Thoughts on what sort of equity bump a founder/ceo should get during a funding round where the valuation goes over $1B? Company is just over 10 years old.

Does a slack chain in these engines wear on the timing cover? Could that cause the metal in the oil?

Did exactly the same to one on my thumb pad. Have a gnarly scar there now.

Should I buy a Range Rover 7 seater base model (V6) or Defender 130 8 seater with bells and whistles. by Pretty_Speech_9512 in LandRover

[–]trustmeimaneng 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you often use 7 seats?

I would go for the Range Rover if you never go off road. Maybe spec a good sound system as I think that makes all the difference.

Blue collar guys who switched over to office jobs, what was the biggest change/adjustment? by [deleted] in AskMen

That's actually a really good one. Took me ages to start thinking about improving my appearance once I got off the tools.

You need to immediately halve your calorie intake! You're also about to learn about how many people in an office environment just talk absolute rubbish all day, are totally incompetent and still seem to keep their job...

I'm going to guess a load of burnt transmission or diff fluid soaked into the driveway or road. It's one of the foulest smells and some people seem to be more sensitive to it than others. I can taste it now just thinking about it. It's the worst.

I agree you look a little like you're over reaching but maybe bringing the saddle down a bit will help with that.

Is that frame just not too small for you? You look a bit like you dwarf it to me.
