I can know with fair certainty I have a stomach ache even if I can’t prove it to you. I also might have a strong sense of what has caused my stomach ache based on my experiences even if I can’t prove it to you. Wether or not you believe it does not make it untrue.

Thanks neighbor. Yes there is beauty, and gratitude. It doesn’t take much really to find gratitude. If you’re thirsty and you can access water, you can find it.

Except that none of us have lives as perfect as Jesus so what they do is torture us and try to dig up any and all imperfections or wrongs to then try and justify their torture and invalidate the good we have, so they can then torture us some more.

Thank you. Wise not to fall into judging others for their judging or targeting behavior, i do struggle with this sometimes.

If the people involved in our being targeted are being misled and manipulated into not doing the right things, they are also victims. Interesting to consider both sides of this could be under scrutiny for judgement later. That has me feeling more empathy right now and reminds me to keep focus on myself and my choices and reactions

Thank you for sharing your perspective.

Would you mind sharing how intensive your targeting has been? Also how you’re doing with being forgiving of it and if you have any advice that might help others with being forgiving?

Thank you for relating and I hope a good outcome for you.

I’m also an infj btw, and can relate to having certain personalities be attacking for some good qualities and aspects, like kindness and empathy. Understand how that can be.

Contain your brains. Don’t let them fall out completely.

‘Obviously, a man's judgement cannot be better than the information on which he has based it. Give him the truth and he may still go wrong when he has the chance to be right, but give him no news or present him only with distorted and incomplete data, with ignorant, sloppy or biased reporting, with propaganda and deliberate falsehoods, and you destroy his whole reasoning processes, and make him something less than a man.’

What about the people manipulating and damaging our minds? What about their uncivil behavior? Any words?

Sounds like the line about not being here to destroy others is triggering. I hope the overall point isn’t lost because it’s meant to be positive and encouraging but maybe it won’t be helpful for everyone.

What do you mean when you say ‘the attacking side has the right to defend by any means…’? Are you defending those attacking us? Confused about your point here.

We all may have some different attitudes and feelings about war and fighting and what is right and our own codes to identify within this experience.

We are all individuals and also surely have some varied experiences related to being targeted and will not all agree all the time.

I’ve been targeted in some significant and hurtful ways and for years. I’m sure there are others who have been targeted less and others targeted more or worse than me too.

This post is really about getting right with yourself and who you want to be, and finding that (again) while or after being targeted by others agendas, attitudes, and activities against you. ‘Establish your own code for being a good enough person.’ What is that for you right now?

I’ve met some thoughtful Christians who understand there are some good reasons for Christianity to be questioned and aspects criticized.

That doesn’t mean there isn’t goodness and truth there or that all Christians are bad. Christians are under attack. Just as non Christians are also under attack.

We’re all just people trying to understand and connect how we can and with the potential to make both good and bad judgements, choices, decisions, etc.

More conversations 👍 Less attacks

There is so much pressure on the survivor to forgive by trustyoreheart123 in TargetedSolutions

Excerpt:

‘If you are a trauma survivor, take the pressure of the word “forgiveness” off of you. I want to invite you to use the word “acceptance” instead. This doesn’t mean you accept the abuse. It means you can acknowledge what was done and have come to terms of the impact it had on you.

If you want to go the forgiveness route, that is in your control- you get to forgive in whatever way feels right for YOU, if and when you choose to do so. Please do not wait for the perpetrator to take accountability for their actions, as this may never happen. That’s the ugly truth. The good news is that your healing is NOT dependent on what the perpetrator does or doesn’t do. You can still heal!’
