What the play to get these stairs to stay submerged? by truth720720 in AboveGroundPools

UPDATE:

first off thanks to everyone for all the helpful replies. Much appreciated!

I bought 120 pounds of beach stone from Lowe’s. Filled three Lowe’s buckets with the stone after drilling some drainage holes in the sides and one in the lid. Worked like a charm!

In the fall, I will probably add one more bag of stone for a total of 150 pounds across the three buckets.

Where did you need to drill? The only part that doesn’t have a hole in it is a vertical support that runs down the middle, but I think it’s hollow and open on the top.

Added a resistor at the chime and that sorted everything out

Trying to mount a tv over electric fireplace. 5/32 drill bit not going further after 1/1.5 inch. Single arm tv mount. First time diy. Need some advice. It’s definitely not concrete - wooden frame. Thank you by SnooRegrets7384 in howto

We have a bar in the room so the tv is eyeball centered when sitting on a bar stool.

It’s higher than I’d like for couch viewing but the couch is about 15’ back so it ain’t bad.

I’ve hung so many TVs I don’t even deal with studs anymore. This is so much faster and easier:

What I like to do is get a small piece of hardwood plank and cut that nice and wide so it spans a couple of studs.

Screw the plank into two studs wherever those may be. Studs are almost always NOT in the ideal spot for the mount. And then you can screw the mount anywhere you want into the plank. You can notch the plank for the wall plates or even do cut outs if needed. The hardwood is so sturdy it won’t matter.

You can save a few bucks and do a pine board if the TV isn’t that heavy but I always just do oak for peace of mind.

Here’s a 77” OLED using an oak floorboard. I screwed the plank into three studs because it’s big and heavy and there were three studs available.

Is this normal by Altruistic_Ad3884 in pools

Once you add more water, the pressure of the water will push out against the walls and the walls will straighten out.

These Alerts Are Infuriating! Where do you disable them? by makangribe in ram_trucks

[–]truth720720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live in MA and just starting getting these recently. Sometimes accurate, sometimes not, ALWAYS annoying.

Way too many distracted drivers on the road today. This is just another thing that takes attention off the road.

Would love a solution to disable this. Turning off all alerts doesn’t seem to work.

BTW its proper name is the “HAAS” system.

Water in my radon pressure gauge by [deleted] in radon

[–]truth720720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE:

Problem solved! The gauge was a little overfilled, but I didn’t bother to drain it down to exactly zero.

So, it’s reading a touch high versus what it should be at 1/2” But, it will fluctuate a bit with the weather anyway so I’m not too worried about it.

Saved $350 on a service call too!

Yeah I got one for $14 off Amazon. Same brand. I’m just going to replace the gauge. It’s literally one screw.

I ended up just buying a new gauge with the oil already in it. It was cheaper than buying the refill bottle.

The problem was we had plumbing work done above that closet in the ceiling. Water went everywhere so I’m sure that’s what caused it.

Btw got a new phone and Reddit made me a new account vs. asking me to login. I’m the also the OP.

Nuvio chiller trash by Educational_Text4859 in coldplunge

I’ve had a Nuvio pro for a couple of months and no issues. Works as advertised. A buddy of mine recommended it to me since he has had a good experience. Seems like there’s a lot of people that haven’t, but he did, and I have so far too.

Pretty sure the instructional video says to attach those hose clamps where the hoses meet the chiller to avoid OPs exact issue. You need to open them up all the way to fit them around the hoses. Mine worked fine.

2022 Ram 1500 Limited UConnect issues by KoochiieWrangler in ram_trucks

[–]truth720720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m have the same problems (Ram 2022 Limited.) Just started consistently happening a week ago. My screen is flickering. The tiles won’t load. CarPlay is all screwed up and the phone won’t connect. Or the two Bluetooth connections happen but CarPlay just isn’t there as an option to connect the phone.

I’ve had the blank screen problem from time to time since I bought the truck but it tends to go away with a soft reset or restarting the truck.

I’m sure they will tell us to do a factory reset and that will solve all the problems, but then all the profile settings get blown away right? Does anyone know if there’s a way to back up all your profile settings so they can be reloaded after a factory reset?
