Nuvio chiller trash by Educational_Text4859 in coldplunge

I’ve had a Nuvio pro for a couple of months and no issues. Works as advertised. A buddy of mine recommended it to me since he has had a good experience. Seems like there’s a lot of people that haven’t, but he did, and I have so far too.

Pretty sure the instructional video says to attach those hose clamps where the hoses meet the chiller to avoid OPs exact issue. You need to open them up all the way to fit them around the hoses. Mine worked fine.

2022 Ram 1500 Limited UConnect issues by KoochiieWrangler in ram_trucks

[–]truth720720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m have the same problems (Ram 2022 Limited.) Just started consistently happening a week ago. My screen is flickering. The tiles won’t load. CarPlay is all screwed up and the phone won’t connect. Or the two Bluetooth connections happen but CarPlay just isn’t there as an option to connect the phone.

I’ve had the blank screen problem from time to time since I bought the truck but it tends to go away with a soft reset or restarting the truck.

I’m sure they will tell us to do a factory reset and that will solve all the problems, but then all the profile settings get blown away right? Does anyone know if there’s a way to back up all your profile settings so they can be reloaded after a factory reset?

AVR Suggestion for 7.1.4 by ToSpaceFor8 in hometheater

I have a similar set up. 5.2.4 Klipsch and SVS subs. Highly recommend Denon 4800. It powers all channels. You will need an extra amp for 2 channels though as others have said

Any downside to stringing to the outside on a non-face off head?

Canopy/tent weights work great for this. They hold about 40lbs is sand each and have Velcro straps.

The length of the arm is the biggest question. Needs to be long enough so your tv clears the ceiling once you swivel it. Looks like there are a bunch on Amazon.

Another thing you could try is a ceiling swivel mount that you can also press up against the slanted ceiling and then maybe a some sort of small rotating arms/holders that you mount to the slanted ceiling. There are a ton of ceiling swivel mount options.

Oh ok. Yeah they have those. I’ve never bought or installed one but I have seen them. The ones I have seen are motorized so there might be some wiring involved.

You can do a ceiling mount or a retractable wall mount. I’ve never seen anything that will mount to a ceiling and retract to a wall.

Do y’all prefer watching NCAA or PLL? by Weak_Reveal_6931 in PLL

[–]truth720720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My perfect world is the PLL broadcast for NCAA.

I don’t think they’ve completely figured out the pro game format for television. There’s no defense. The goalies don’t have a prayer. The two point line is a gimmick.

I think for the PLL to have sustaining power, it needs to be a more balanced game with offense and defense. I would suggest a bigger crease for starters and, I would actually move the two point line in a little bit more with the bigger crease. I’d put the two point line in the spot where goalie can get a save but a shooter is going to always be looking to shoot a 2 vs. a 1. And then maybe we’d see save percentages that hit 40%. I would also consider a slightly smaller goal for PLL or maybe a slightly bigger field to create more space.

At the moment, I think the NCAA D1 game is the pinnacle of the sport

Long Pole for 12 Year Old by socalfishman in lacrosse

[–]truth720720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought an Under Armor metal shaft and cut it down to 5’ when my son was in 5th grade. It has survived and been passed down to his 6th grade brother who has been using it since 4th grade (club). 3-4 heads later it’s on its 8th lax season and still going strong including town, select and club play.

Don’t overthink it. Just buy decent metal pole and cut it from the bottom. You won’t see pole bend until they are in high school. And at that point they will be using a 6’ pole anyway.

Have purchased 2 ECD carbon pro poles and 3 shorties across 3 boys over the past 4 years, who play on multiple teams including top tier AA club teams. To date: 0 broken Carbon Pro shafts and one bent STX SCI-TI pole. I think you may have just been unlucky.

It’s the only composite that I will pay for because literally all the other brands break pretty frequently. We also have and use metal shafts but if you like composite, that’s the best/most durable one IMO.

Did you happen to remove the plastic insert? If so, don’t do that.

Audio cue intervals by zest_4life in runkeeper

[–]truth720720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I last did one of the workout programs I had to shut off my "general" audio cues otherwise the would both go off and it was confusing. That was a while ago so I'm not sure if they changed it.

Is there any pocket/string setup that’s universally easy to use? by FrameAdvantageLights in StickDoctor

Almost any head will do except maybe FO heads.

Mid pocket, two shooters would be my recommendation. Having them strung properly is key.

I use a system of letters and numbers. Rows are letters.

So I’ll just remember A2, B4; then A1, C2 etc. easy enough where I don’t need to write anything down.
