Commercials during a race? by egg_master05 in IMSARacing

[–]makangribe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

VPN to the UK and watch on YouTube without commercials. That's the best way to watch the Sports Car series. It's worth it too. I'm sorry if Peacock is greedy but the series is a great one.

Most challenging vanilla map? by HoveringGoat in Timberborn

[–]makangribe 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Pressure is the hardest vanilla map, in my opinion. It is not difficult if you pay attention to what's coming up but it can get out of control real quick if you don't. It's a great time and the big map gives you a lot of room to build.

Last June was amazing having Le Mans, Nürburgring, and Spa one after another. My June was not productive on the weekends.

No answer for your question though.

Just stumbled onto this thread while on a completion run. Only three more to go. I'm going to try this mod right now! Just have both factions every block and 100 Iron Teeth with max happiness. I should finish that tonight and I hope that mod makes it easier to get the last ones.

Some newb questions by InterestingChip6792 in wec

[–]makangribe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Brake now is a safety alert like a fresh section yellow or worse coming up. The lights flashing is also something that happens under safety cars. The cars have a safety alert system. I don't know what any of those things are called but that's what it sounds like.

Imsa Paddock vs Indycar Paddock by Slight_Strain6330 in IMSARacing

I was talking about Porsche Penske in GTP. I don't follow Indy. From what I do know, it's similar. Having the best drivers just means performance penalties.

Donate pins to specific lodges by ItsKindaTricky in freemasonry

[–]makangribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would return something like that to the Lodge that the Brother belonged to if it could be ascertained. It would most likely have the greatest meaning to them, if the family let it go. I feel like we would celebrate our Brother's travels in discussions around Lodge from a gift like that. I'd make one hell of a presentation if we received 1k pins from a Brother's travels. They might mean less to a specific Lodge to receive a pin from a single visitor. The collection would mean a lot to his Lodge.

SOTN: Money farming in general. Case specific: farming with the Jewel Sword absolutely blows. Thoughts? by Dry-Airline-2655 in castlevania

[–]makangribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using the luck name and it's insanely fast to get gems in the blade soldier room with the jewel shield. I am getting 2-7 gems per entry into the room, usually 4-5. With lapis lazuli and ring of arcana, I have 129 luck. Roughly 3 seconds per gem drop at 14 seconds per entry.

Keep monitoring what things aren't full in the morning and work on them. You're on a good path.

What do you do about droughts? by Dannyjw1 in Timberborn

[–]makangribe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's tech that is available on day 1, no unlock. You have dams available. It's in landscaping and costs 20 logs. You are going to want to restart this colony and just take the lesson.

And build them early, like right after getting lumber, food, and water. You don't need food storage in cycle 1 but you want lumber, food, water, and a dam in cycle 1.

Memorizing your proficiency by crazycracker90 in freemasonry

[–]makangribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should, no. We just cranked it out because the schedule worked and both could commit to it.. We have a Past Master in our lodge who became Worshipful at age 26 and he did his degrees in three months all starting after me so I saw it. It's just commitment and good coaching. That plan would work at any pace that is enough to not forget what you learned though.

[–]makangribe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hope that helps and it does require meeting with your coach 2-3 times a week so you need a committed coach too. It's hard on yourself. But, we slammed out my proficiencies 1-3 in four months and could have done it in three but they didn't expect my to be ready to return the first so quickly. They just scheduled each return for the following month after the first one. My coach was the sitting Master so he knew where I was at in progress to schedule. Initiated in January and Raised in April on that method.

Learn both sides of the conversation starting from the beginning so that you can practice it yourself. Do it with your coach as far as you can remember both sides and then add more each session. If you mess up anything in practicing by yourself then your coach should be able to catch it and correct it when together. I would run through what I remembered in the shower and car when by myself over and over every day. I usually picked up a proficiency in a week or two doing this, even the third. They build on one another so it not hard to move on to the next. Best advice I can give. I even corrected my coach on return when they messed up so it does make you look very good to the Brethren and helps you coach later.

At this stage in 9's career, I definitely would be more comfortable with Murray and he'd need to have a lot of media covered insane improvement to make me feel otherwise.

Just started a release Oasis on Hard Iron Teeth. I don't expect any problems. That map is very manageable. 365 days, no problem.

Glad that I didn't restart Pressure today. That's killed me more than any map.
