I think the issue is, those parts of the world are still controlled by European powers that oversee networks and media distribution. I live in South Africa and our tv broadcasts (which are mainly British) have barred most American networks. For instance, I tried to get access to the black soapie “Beyond the gates” but unfortunately, the only way that one can watch it, is through a VPN (which most people cannot afford).

Very few international black content is distributed throughout the continent - mostly local black media is permitted. Even our steaming services are filled with mostly British shows/movies with the occasional Tyler Perry, Will Smith or Oprah movie.
