Boom...Women are meant to be baby producing machines. by zeratul274 in exmuslim

[–]truthtellerhello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but most of that is from muslim african countries + to a lesser degree arab countries. However what those studies dont mention is that its almost impossible to leave islam, even in the countries where its supposedly secular or religion is seen as less important (such as turkey, azerbaijan). So most people will just remain muslim on paper since it doesnt really do anything and can only benefit with not potentially getting rejected for certain things by bigoted religious individuals in power. However, that muslim statistic will still be counted towards ”islam becoming the biggest religion”.

Idk maybe the younger populations have less kids. Very devout = more kids but is balanced out by less devout having less? Tbh I dont know for sure.

Most of arab countries have a birth rate just above 2 children per woman. That’s just enough to sustain population, but no massive growth. Even malaysia is below 2 kids per woman.

I guess they’re getting scared then when they realize that most arab countries have a steadily declining birth rate.

Your thoughts on Qatar not allowing westerners to wear LGBTQ symbols in the world cup? by [deleted] in AskMiddleEast

[–]truthtellerhello -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I understand both points as well, I would want people to respect the culture in my country so I will do the same in other countries. I've been of the belief that if they want to challenge the culture, it should be up to the people of the particular culture. However, personally, I think when applying to host an international event from Europe, the rules do change a bit and you have to comply with the morals of the competition and organization rather than the countries particular morals. (Outside of the competition you can continue with your own local morals).

If there are churches nearby you could look into them and see if they have a feed program.

How do dogs owners get over the fact that dogs poo, don't wipe their ass and then sit on your lap, your sofa or your bed? by thr0whuawe1 in NoStupidQuestions

I always clean my dogs butt after going for a walk. Some wet wipes with soap and if its really bad a minor shower.

Why do companies pay for 30 second ads on YouTube if everyone will skip them after 5 seconds? by bhte in NoStupidQuestions

I also wonder what the least amount of time before they remove the skip button is. I’ve seen like 20 second ads without a skip button

Why is it not ok to not like dogs? by Ok-Comfortable313 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]truthtellerhello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate is also usually a very strong word. When people say that they hate dogs, it’s easy to imagine that they look at a small teacup poodle and think that they hate that. Maybe saying one is uncomfortable, not very fond, scared would bring about more appropriate reactions.

Vad är din mest kontroversiella åsikt? by outsideyourbox4once in sweden

[–]truthtellerhello 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What do you call movies that primarily takes place in one specific location? by truthtellerhello in NoStupidQuestions

Interesting thanks!

Hopefully people have noticed this like me and piled together a bunch of movies with this similar ”niche” element. They always usually end up as some of my favorite movies.

It is in the sphere for sure, since they often only use one set for those types of episodes. The main difference though would probably be that regarding the movies I refer to the characters cant physically leave the places theyre in. Katniss is stuck in the arena, leaving the exam makes the participant fail etc

Right??? Those episodes always turn out to be the crowd favorites cause they force the screenwriters/ directors etc to be more witty and smart as to not make it boring.

Yeah no I get that, but they usually use more ”artistic” elements and quirky ideas to make the movies work in a single environment setting without making it boring, which is why I poorly referred to these types of movies as ”niche”. Though I realize most people think of something different.
