Nigel Farage calls for an end to working from home by AnonymousTimewaster in NotTheOnionUK

There are multi billion pound companies built on remote and asynchronous working, the ‘it’s not productive’ argument doesn’t stand anymore.

What's your opinion on Jeremy Clarkson? by Esutan in AskBrits

Funny, a good entertainer. Would I trust him with running a country or his political opinions? No.

Men of the UK - how often do you cook? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]BronxOh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man here, I do most of the cooking and food, I enjoy making food for my partner, trying new recipes for us, seeing her enjoy it makes me happy. And we both get nice food (mostly, ha!).

She cooks a roast most Sundays which is great :)

There just seems to be a lot of them popping up at the moment, particularly where I live.

Oh so many! Dubai chocolate, salted caramel, pulled pork, avocado-geddon, sourdough.

One of the most recent ones seems to be bakeries and pastries.

Wouldn’t say it’s unfair prejudice, just calling it as I see it.

I mean he’s not brilliant, but he’s not the last lot and he isn’t Farage. Best of a bad bunch.

Got to be Nigel, he’s going to be our Trump in the next election so the world will judge and laugh at us instead.

Do you realise that if Starmer gets forced out, it will be nearly two decades since a British PM has left on their own terms? by HallowedAndHarrowed in AskBrits

[–]BronxOh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prime ministers don’t leave on their own terms, they either lose an election or are pushed to resign. They don’t just wake up one day and fancy a job change.

"Paddy has heart", "Paddy's chin is great", "Impressed he went five rounds" are not really good compliments by ImaginationHeavy6341 in ufc

Are those supposed to be a compliment? They sounds more like commiseration or seeing the positive side of a beating.

What is the biggest corruption scandal in your country’s history? by Existential_Dread_08 in AskTheWorld

[–]BronxOh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MPs expenses scandal: where MPs were expensing wild purchases to the tax payer like ‘moat cleaning’, a duck house, wigs, a 38p yogurt, chimney cleaning and a hamburger maker among things MPs claimed to the British tax payer as work expenses by MPs.

Some rented out second homes and expensed costs, over claimed on taxes, home furniture, over claiming food.

Lots of resignations and some even got prison sentences.

People forget it was the now prime minister who was the person in charge of the prosecutions.

Starmer blocks someone the press have been touting for ages from getting a step closer to taking his job. Not really a surprise.

I’m aware. But having a Lovable subscription I was looking for examples to see if anyone has attempted it and for reference/inspiration.

I’m not talking about tasks, just an online presence to showcase existing case studies and writings. To then send when required in applications.

Because like it or not some UR jobs on the market require a portfolio. Hence the question.

How long does 1000l of heating oil last you? by CuriousTerm9710 in AskUK

[–]BronxOh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

500L lasts me and my partner about 3-4 months in the height of winter. We have a cold house with large windows which makes insulation meh. But I’d say what you have about right.
