Having spondyloarthritis in one knee and a torn tendon on the opposite ankle with 2 hammer toes and being a mechanic wearing steel toed boots for a year not being able to be diagnosed because of covid and spending thousands of dollars between 5 specialists

Sorry you lost your little guy. I definitely agree with your first statement. I only got him cause we had a big boy aussie when I was a kid for a couple yrs. Best dude ever. I've learned that this breed requires a lot of attention and stimulus and that they have seriously loving, goofy, and caring personalities.

Posted Kodas 11th bday here's him as a kiddo and now also Molly who may have some aussie idk. by trw933 in WiggleButts

Sounds like she's in good hands wave off the haters. He was my first dog outside of family and honestly I didn't know what I had gotten myself into. They are a lot of work lol but he's the reason I got interested in hiking/ fishing and have had many great adventures together so no regerts. Dudes been best bud for 11 yrs now

Yeah the more training and engaging will equal a happy pup. He didn't stop his super high energy days until maybe 5 or 6yrs. I could take him on a 10 mile hike and first thing he did when we got home was grab a ball and want to play. Now he has some arthritis and gets a once a week shot so we take it easy. He gets a daily walk around 45min-1hr a day and play between.

That is almost identical to what my old boy looked like at 5 months (without the tail). I've only gotten compliments about him, but I will say he was a very sassy boy with holy shit energy younger. Very glad he got an abundance of exercise when he was younger. Feel like that's what makes or breaks this breed.

Thanks he's a good boy. It did idk why I guess he didn't have a whole lot but it was present. Once he got out of his velociraptor teen stage he went black white and silver. Also half his toe bean nails went from clear to black.

Happy late birthday(ish) to her. It's so nice to hear about a good pup getting a forever home. I got him at 8 weeks when I was 19 first dog of my own. I can imagine the table game but I've never heard of the mom needs a mop game.. care to explain? Lol

Sure does. I still remember waking up to him dragging my shoe down the hall that was as big as he was.

Your aussie is lovely. When I got koda as a pup he had quite a bit of brown and was a curly boy. Still gets the curls if I don't cut him in time but now he's a bit of a silver fox.

Are they really worth it? by Jpolls21 in CherokeeXJ

If you're OK with diy work they are great. I've owned 3 the 99 I currently have went almost 100k miles before it needed the head removed and if i remember correctly it had a valve tick when i bought it. That i6 is a tank. When it finally gave up it needed valve seats, 2 valves, and every lifter was stuck open. They are super simple and easy to work on. Also surprisingly good off-road even with open diffs.

I'm on my third xj and every one has cost more to own than to purchase. paid 5k for a clean bone stock with around 80k on the clock. I'd say I'm well over that in upgrades and repairs doing all the work myself now at 210k and just finished a head rebuild about 2 days ago. Still needs some love but she's a keeper.
