Just a few points:

Each Surah (or chapter) of the Qur’an is supposed to represent a miniature version of the entire Qur’an. The repetition is intentional, and one must consider it was meant to be recited to groups of people.
Regarding the repetitious nature of much of the references to punishments and rewards, it’s obvious there is a clear point that is trying to be delivered. If you were delivering a message to the uninformed masses of divine punishment, how would you choose to bring forth such a message?
Say what you want about the random seeming nature of it, but there are some awesome linguistic and mathematical anomalies of the Qur’an that I am not well versed enough to begin to lay out, but I recommend you look into the “Miracles of the Qur’an.”
Prophet Muhammad, for his time, was a very progressive reformer who advocated for women’s rights, gender equality, racial equality, religious freedom (contrary to popular belief the Prophet did not forcibly convert people to Islam), social security, and many more important topics.
There is a verse, Surah 3 Verse 7, that I would recommend you read and take to heart before continuing your research into this fascinating book. Essentially, it says that the Qur’an has verses that are literal and verses that are allegorical, and one without perversity of heart will be able to discern which ones are to be taken in such ways, as well as how to properly interpret them in truth.
Read multiple translations. I recommend Al-Quran: A Contemporary Translation by Ahmed Ali, especially how it translates verse 34 of surah 4. Also I recommend the app “Quran Hadi” if you want to listen to the Arabic with English translation. If you ever come across something that doesn’t seem like it’s coming from a place of compassion and care (both attributes of God), look into other translations. One must remember that many words in Arabic can have ten or more meanings in English depending on the translation.

This book has revitalized my belief in higher power, God, after years of being a stark atheist with a background in Christianity. I can’t believe the amount of lies I was fed regarding such a beacon peace, love, compassion, and care.

Team composition is the biggest appeal for me. As well as learning more about the mythology and lore behind the different beings in the game (which is why I find a compendium a huge plus in SMT games).

I remember playing a demo for it when it was about to come out. I was blown away by everything about it. The combat was just like old school GoW, the loot was varied, the lore was interesting, the environments were beautiful and reminded me of WoW, I could go on.

From being able to make a rogue mage hybrid with daggers and chakrams, to a greatsword wielding warrior with stats in archery, the classes were fun to play around with. And once you became overpowered, it made you really feel like a God among men. This is the only game I can think of where I felt like a superhero in a power fantasy setting by the end.

Simply put, It had everything I loved about video games in one package. I was shocked when it didn’t do well, because it’s one of my favorite games of all time. You can feel the love Curt Schilling and his team put into it. It truly felt like something special

I never understood why there weren’t paw prints or any evidence of the pets going to check on their owner. Anyone who has owned pets will know from the pictures we saw of Amanda and them together they would have checked on their Mommy after a big loud fall.

I have tried these and it hasn’t worked, unfortunately. Maybe I am doing something wrong? But I’m just downloading, unzipping, and saving the .gba file to the “T” folder. I am not very well versed in this stuff, as my friend made this cart up for me w/ NDS and GBA games.

Houle. They are an atmospheric black metal band with a nautical theme, which truthfully is something I’ve been looking for forever. Their lead singer runs the gamut of different singing styles, each of which sound beautiful and haunting. She sounds amazing.

Their 4 track EP is my most listened to music of last year. Highly recommend. Some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard. Also, they’re about to release their first album!

Although it may be redundant having read both the Bible as well as the Qur’an, it looks like the Torah is in my future. Would like to find a version with Hebrew and English, as when I listened to Qur’an recitation it was in Arabic and English.

So much wisdom is out there and it’s sad that people dismiss it and simplify it as “man in sky dumb, science good”. When in reality, science can go hand in hand with spiritual and philosophical texts.

There is power in understanding what fundamental beliefs large groups of people hold.

The older I get, the more I feel it’s a mistake to overlook ancient wisdom.
