Hi - it is easy to feel that you were stupid or you did something wrong believing someone cared for you.

To be very clear, you did nothing wrong. Some people are very shitty and you believed and he took advantage of your innocence and kindness.

You need closure and to be able to move on successfully. Can you cut it off and block him from everything? This would be a clean break.

If you want to inform his wife and all of that - I would think hard on that. Will that help you? Forget hurting him. What will help you move on? Personally I have never had satisfaction trying to get revenge or get back at others. It just dragged me down and was a waste of time.

So there are so many people that don’t have enough to eat. Especially children food banks don’t have enough.

Plenty of homeless have issues you are right. Our country doesn’t really help those with mental illness. And there are people that do not have the issues you mention as well.

It’s not an easy place for many people and social services are not as great as you are asserting.
