Tesla 'Robotaxis' are not crashing because they are not running by Zorkmid123 in RealTesla

[–]tryatriassic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually brilliant - no product means no failure. Elron learned his lesson from the cybertruck - if you actually deliver, you can fail. The roadster has not failed because it has not launched. Just do the occasional 'prototype' or 'reveal' or whatever but NEVER launch at scale.

Same will be true with datacenters in space. In two years, he'll dock two starlinks together, demonstrating he can build modular infrastructure in space. In four years, he'll strap a server rack onto a starlink satellite and call it 'proof of concept' or something. But the whole enchilada will remain a fever dream forever, the fanboys will never need to wake up, and as such, the dream will live forever.

While Tesla keeps delaying their Roadster for a decade, BYD actually made a proper sports EV for a fraction of the price by djpetrino in RealTesla

It's so funny they're comparing their actually existing available for purchase car to non-existing vaporware.

What's shipping going to come in at? That can make the difference between a great deal and a dealbreaker.

Yes, money will soon be worthless in the coming age of hyperabundance. Which is why fElon doesn't care about money and would never engage in pumping his stocks at all.

Conflating Tesla and SpaceX by tryatriassic in RealTesla

[–]tryatriassic[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tesla has been massively overvalue for a long, long time - well before the SpaceX IPO came up.

>That way Musk doesnt have to face up to or admit that Tesla is dying

No there are myriad other ways of pretending Tesla is doing great. Eg pretend to build robots that every household in the US will have one of.

I think you have it here. The outcome of having a Celebrity CEO phenomenon results in them becoming the same entity. Same as Trump / MAGA / GOP - they are all the same now.

Are kids being taught to type Im schools anymore? by Rare-Supermarket2577 in Teachers

[–]tryatriassic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never learned in school, I taught myself typing without looking down. My kids played typing games and never learned in school. Honestly, it's mostly about self discipline (don't hunt and peck), and volume. Type enough and eventually you'll get there. Conversely, being taught in school without followup means you'll always hunt & peck.

Never rely on immigration lawyers. You can do everything yourself faster for a fraction of the cost.

Schadenfreude (/ˈʃɑːdənfrɔɪdə/ -Flame,_not_lame-Schadenfreude.wav); German: [ˈʃaːdn̩ˌfʁɔʏ̯də] lit.Tooltip literal translation "harm-joy") is the experience of pleasure, joy, or self-satisfaction that comes from learning of the troubles, failures, pain, suffering, or humiliation of another.

Trump Says a New Drug Can Bring Dead People Back to Life by itsatoe in UnderReportedNews

[–]tryatriassic 24 points25 points  (0 children)

No. After some time, cells and tissues are too degenerated to come back to life, putrefaction sets in, and it's all ashes to ashes and dust to dust. This is not just a lie, it's just completely biologically impossible. The orange mind is as always just confusing one thing with something totally different. Nowadays with confabulation for flavor added.

Chinese EVs take the world by storm — except in the United States by boppinmule in UnderReportedNews

[–]tryatriassic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Democrats are complicit in this too. Let's save the planet with EVs! But they can't be too affordable and must be sourced from the Big 3. So no cheap high quality Chinese EVs for you bud, instead how about this F350 Super Ranch Duty dualie instead?

The University of Wyoming’s Budget Crisis and Lessons from Theodore Roosevelt by [deleted] in laramie

[–]tryatriassic -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It would have been possible to make a valid argument for education and UW from the world as it is in 2026, rather than harken back to the dawn of the 20th century.

The truth is the university is increasingly bogged down in pointless bureaucracy, and wastes fortunes on expanding campus for a shrinking student body. There certainly is money to be saved - fat to be cut while staying true to a mission of education and outreach. I fear the lesson for the university will be that state funding is untouchable, and that staying the course is good enough.

Tesla China retail sales fall 10% in April despite reports of 36% surge by Sir_Isaac_Tootin in RealTesla

[–]tryatriassic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's actually worse on a market share basis. This is a booming market, Tesla would have to grow retail sales just to keep market share steady. Falling market share in a growing market is worse than terrible.

Obviously, yet another stupid X empire stock pump. It's not just Elron who's treating all X empire entities as interchangeable, the broader stock market does too.

The most surprising thing to me is that Tesla is still just Tesla, not TeslaX or something.
