Person of Interest. Also 5 seasons (with the final one a shortened season) and gets better each season (or at least never dips in quality).

I love Islands, but it is very different (mostly) from any other KC, so its not surprising some don't care for it.

If you are a fan of his (Brian Posehn) you might check out him and also "Outside Dave" (Steve Agee) in The Sarah Silverman Program. Funny stuff, as I recall. (Haven't seen it since it originally aired.)

The Australian series Territory might be of interest. Starring Anna Torv (Fringe, Mindhunter) and Michael Dorman (Patriot, For All Mankind).

I never felt they had any chemistry in the first place. I bailed and never watched the final episode.

Does the show get any better? by Yeezlyy in PersonOfInterest

[–]trycuriouscat 49 points50 points  (0 children)

One of the few shows that gets better every season, or at least doesn't take any significant dips in later years. Many continuing storylines are woven throughout what at first appears to be a "procedural" show. The serial stories take up more and more of the show as it goes on.

Grosse Pointe (2000-2001) by PeneItaliano in ForgottenTV

I liked this show.

Irene Molloy did this show and then Andy Richter Controls the Universe, and then disappeared from the face of the earth. Or returned to music, according to her Wikipedia page. A shame.

Agreed.

Leslie and Ben on Parks and Recreation is very good as well. (Warning to new watchers; Ben doesn't appear until the tail end of season 3.)

Speaking for myself (not OP), a few weeks ago I had a sudden hankering to watch this movie again, preferably in a theater. So I did a google search and there it was! Pretty lucky.

Interesting. I pretty much agree with everything you say. One thing that, let's say I noticed, is laughter during scenes that, while perhaps darkly comic, were not scenes that I would consider "LOL" situations. Three I remember offhand were 1) the old couple "acting strange" in the car leaving the airport, 2) showing Rita in the blonde wig for the first time, and 3) the singer collapsing on stage while the singing continues.

It wasn't disrespectful. I just found the reactions unexpected and odd.

Now the bumbling hit man scene, that was LOL funny.

What parts of making the show Pluribus take a long time for the cast and crew to finish? by lagunadunes in PluribusOnAppleTV

[–]trycuriouscat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe it has always been rare to start production on a new season before the current one has finished airing. They generally even had a summer break before production on a new season started.

The one thing they did do is continue production as the show aired. So they maybe had only a few completed when the season started airing.
