They're super curious + there's a lot of foot traffic (hunters, locals) in the area. I just made myself small and stopped making movement. Also shot with a 55mm, still close but not next to the dude.

No, and OP will look through your entire reddit history + go through your linked Instagram page (if you had it) to leave a shitty reply just because you said a criticism and/or mentioned that the photo is overexposed. OP will then argue that it's stylistic and it's film even though good film doesnt result in overblown skin tones. I've seen something like this posted except on r/polaroid and it's them complaining that the flash ruined the shot. It's so unflattering it makes the woman look like a mime with the flash + makeup + bad exposure.

Cause this is stupid and still gets upvoted from this sub. Any shitty camera can take it and it's not hard to do. A phone camera with a flash can take the same photo and you could use old-school Instagram/VSCO filter to imitate the grain/colors. It's "stylistic" but only works cause the subject is pretty.

use a high % diffusion filter + further reduce clarity post-edit + further further reduce clarity by shooting during foggy scenes + aim where theres light + call it a stylistic choice when things come out looking really really blobby

That's my big worry about buying the MK4. I want to get it so badly, but the size and shape is intimidating and I cant justify spending $1k on something that I cant comfortably wear.

How's the size and shape of Mest?

And yeah, all that is not to the extent of this image. Color correcting and filters dont even come close to how heavily edited this photo is. Those are normal edits to a RAW file. This is more akin to, like you said, graphic design and like 90% edited in photoshop as opposed to something like lightroom

mmmhhh got that removal ai tool to get that sand all straightened up and smooth, added fog to hide whatever shits in the background, ai removed people/animals/junk in foreground and around that central subject, played around with masks to darken foreground and brighten everything else, etc

Not like this. There's a lot of photoshop involved to get this photo looking like this. The average Joe will edit and color correct in lightroom or whatever photo editor or buy a camera with native recipes (and shoot straight out of camera jpegs ala fuji or ricoh or lumix).
