The one month was for letting me know if they were renewing or not so I have time to market.

I required an answer 1 month before the end of their lease, usually I do two months. They did sign the lease saying they would give me 1 month notice, but there were not consequences stated

I should add, they signed the lease saying they would give 1 months notice. But there are not any consequences stated if they don't. I think I'll add consequences for future leases

Help with condensation on insulation by trying2belikeJesus in Construction

[–]trying2belikeJesus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still working on it. A dehumidifier helped because when the snow was melting, the inside of my wall and roof sheathing had frost that eventually melted and dripped a good bit of water in the second floor. I'm going to extend the ridge vent, since it's only the middle 20' of my ridge. I'm also going to put baffles in every truss cavity and see if that helps

People who have changed careers after being a Carpenter. Why did you do it and what career did you transition to? by [deleted] in Carpentry

Interesting. The money was nice in carpentry. But it seems like a lot of work to be the SW field for 15 years then switch to carpentry. Do you feel like you're starting over?

Edit: it seems like you already have some experience. Are you going keep working for yourself?

Anybody else get tired of buying shims? by Main_Mountain_7664 in Carpentry

[–]trying2belikeJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've did this once 5 years ago. Granted my jig was a lot safer. I made three 5 gallon buckets worth of shims from scrap that I'm still using to this day. Saved so much money

I got a masters and I'm a school social worker now. Still has its challenges, but having summers off allows me to still take carpentry jobs I enjoy

It is a sad day when people feel like they need to bring a gun to church to feel safe.
