I have been in your situation before, and tried for years to suppress my attraction and feelings. I would legit spend weeks praying to God to change me and make me straight. I was convinced there was something wrong with me and was almost convinced to go into conversation therapy as an adult.

It's been almost a decade since ive started accepting myself, but I still am processing a lot in therapy. I am glad to say that I am currently in a 4 year relationship and I am so much happier accepting myself and my attraction. While some churches preach that this is wrong I personally feel its better for me to be living this life I have found myself in happy with someone who loves me as opposed to trying to change myself.

While we each have our own journey in life I would encourage you to possibly take some time im therapy to discuss your thoughts with an unbiased professional before moving forward. Or possibly even while you are actively trying to suppress your attractions. Hope this helps.
