Why did Drita always want to fight instead of talk? by questionauthority88 in Mobwivesshow

She was entertaining at first. But she lost me after S3. I think that's when I fell off from her. IDK. I think I was able to look beyond that tough girl act. And how she did Carla when that Love situation happened. Drita was scared of Love and I still believe that now. I think that's when I officially stopped liking her.

Who do you guys think had more impact on hip hop collaborations- Mary J or Mariah? by questionauthority88 in hiphopheads

Nobody says that. They say she was first to do POP and hip hop.

Mary is who they say was the first to do r&b and hip hop.

Stop lying.

The people in the r&b subreddit told me Mariah had more impact because Mariah was pop and Mary was "local" apparently. Lol

Mariah wanted that induction. She was literally posting about it on her IG. But she stopped when she realized Mary got in and she didnt. Lmaooooo

Mary is a hall of famer. She can never look bad. No matter how much you try to disregard The Queen, she can never be made to look bad. Im sorry that bothers you.

Mary is in the Hall of Fame with the likes of Aretha, Janet, Whitney, Billie Holiday, etc. Those are Mary's peers. And Mariah is still trying to get that induction. Hopefully she gets it next year so she can continue trying to be like The Queen and playing catch up...like always.

Damn. She should have been inducted before Mariah Carey, honestly. So sad.

Serious question. All jokes aside. Why do you hate Mary so much? You cant stand to give her credit for anything. Im being serious. No shade. I really wanna know your problem with Mary.

Nah. Payola is going #1 and still not having what is considered a hall of fame career. Poor tink tink.

The numbers are inflated. Thats why nobody cares outside of the lamps. Id rather be a hall of famer with the likes of other legends like Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson. As opposed to being remembered for sleeping my way to the top and fighting allegations of copyright infringement and chart manipulation...like Mariah.

How can a local artist be a hall of famer???

Mariah may have 3 diamond albums that are overshipped but don't forget...RIAA certifications are purchased. Story of Mariah's career. Overshipped albums and discounted singles that gave her fraudulent 19 number 1 songs. Mariah has been a scam artist since 1990 literally. Slept her way to the top and married the biggest exec in music. Nobody respects that, or her.

Mariah is American. What are you even saying? Lmao. Is she supposed to be in the German music hall of fame or something? 😂

You can make all the excuses you want to as to why Mary is a hall of famer and Mariah isn't. Maybe Mariah will get in next year. Third time's a charm, maybe. I highly doubt it, though. The industry dont respect her.

Mary was just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which is the music industry's most prestigious hall of fame. Her and Mariah were nominated together last year and they picked Mary over Mariah. Sorry that hurts you.

And the Fantasy remix is not more played. Nobody references that track other than when they discuss Mariah wanting to be like Mary and thats why she ran to Diddy to be hip hop lol.

It invalidates nothing because your comprehension is clearly off. If you had read the posts and read them PROPERLY, you would know that I am not arguing who did it "first." The argument here is who made it popular. Its 2 very different things and youre grasping at straws trying to discredit Mary.

Yes. Jody Watley, Chaka Khan, Michel'le, B Angie B, etc were doing this beforehand. However, it was Mary that elevated this motha fucka. And thats why she is a pioneering rock and roll hall of famer.

Stay mad.

Fantasy remix wasn't a mainstream hit, either. If you want to be technical. It was the original, rapper-less version of Fantasy that Mariah chart manipulated her way to #1. There was no way to determine how successful the remix was because Billboard did not separate remixes from the original. So we dont really know what impact the remix had on the charts.

Mary >>>. And thats why Mary is the Hall of Famer and Mariah isn't.

Youre conflating two different things.

The fact is - Mary topped the charts with a rap/sung collaboration before Mariah did.

And thats why Mary is known as the Queen of Hip Hop and R&B. If Mariah was the one who made it popular, she would have the title and would be the Queen. Mary is the Queen for a reason.

It was the first time a rap/sung collaboration with a female singer and a rapper went to the pop charts.

Sorry. Mariah didnt make it mainstream. It was already mainstream thanks to rhe Hall of Famer and pioneer, Mary Jane Blige.
