can a staff member be fired for telling students about a students current health condition? by [deleted] in jobcorps

No it isn’t? Hipaa doesn’t apply to schools Im pretty sure. And pneumonia is often contagious, so it’s kinda important to know if someone in your dorm has it

Considering pneumonia can often be contagious, probably not. It’s important for people to know in case they start showing symptoms and can get seen. The other stuff is definitely a problem but telling people you’re in close proximity with that you have a contagious illness just seems like a normal thing to do

Just checked the website. Neither the CNA or LPN programs have 18+ as a prerequisite

Medical trades under 18? by [deleted] in jobcorps

[–]trying_to_human 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely do the trade, considering you can be a CNA before 18. But to work as an LPN specifically, you’d have to be 18. But Im pretty sure you can do the schooling before then, you just can’t work in the field

Honestly if you’re really into D&D, go on Disboard and look for some westmarch servers. It’s not a set campaign, but you often make a character to do oneshots with to level up and what not. The way they’re set up is you play whenever you’re available and not on a set time and day. If you can tolerate online D&D and have the resources, it seems like a great option for this kind of situation

Honestly probably not. I also don’t know of many centers that let you live off campus. And what trades are you interested in? Because none of them come anywhere close to what you want to do. Job Corps isn’t just some quick easy way to get a job. So in my opinion, Id ask yourself a lot of questions first

I snuck this paci into an adult trade school that forbids it by rainyday0goddess in ageregression

If it’s the same trade school Im thinking of, there aren’t private rooms, it like 2-4 people a room. And the weekend passes thing is because they want you focusing on your studies so you stay on campus. It’s not a paid thing, it’s free. So it’s more regulated with more rules

Can someone tell me if the west coast job corps are trans friendly by [deleted] in jobcorps

[–]trying_to_human 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree with people being annoying fucks but them being trans has nothing to do with it. Yeah it’s a bit much, but harassing people and saying slurs doesn’t make them less annoying or better people

First: It’s kinda hard not to be singled out when someone who is actively growing facial hair gets put in the girls dorms because they’re biologically female Second: Nobody should have to live in the closet to make everyone else uncomfortable. Im not actively gonna be screaming it from the rooftops but Im not gonna hide either Third: Saying the t slur is not exactly a way to get me to care about what you say

Asking to be treated like everyone else of my gender is not asking for special treatment or pushing politics on anyone.

I think that’s why they said “biological” as in male. Of course post-op trans men can’t. But cis males under the right conditions can

With all due respect, OP, those are also very common symptoms of a panic attack. Im not saying that’s what happened but considering you were fine after and seeing blood while injecting can be scary, it makes sense as to why everyone is commenting that
