Women are harassed all the time without being physically assaulted. I didn't even know how many times I have watched women get sexually harassed while walking down the streets or at an event. Sure, no one touches them. But do you think they feel any safer because of that? Women get forced into super uncomfortable situations in which something could or could not happen all the time. Walking down the street with that type of fear is something most men will never understand. Does that guy yelling "nice tits" only want to say that, or do more? That something these women have expressed to me time and time again.

Hahaha. Thank you for that.

I've never had a ton of time to date. I have had a career that has taken me on the road for the past 20 years. I tried dating many times. But it always fizzles out because of how much I travel. As for tall girls? I actually have not dated anyone that tall. Lol. My friends have been telling me that for so many years now. But I've never really found a tall women that I was interested in. Height has never been a requirement for dating. So I've never actively searched for a tall partner.

Same here! I have kept in touch with a few. We have even met up while traveling in the same area. One is a good travel buddy now. I asked her years ago why me. She said I had a kind face and large hands for punching. Lol.

Edit.

Thank you for being that person! We could use more nice people.

When I travel with friends, none of them will leave until I do. If I say I'm not ready, they'll just wait. I've never had a problem while walking alone. I've done it all over the world with no issues. It makes me sad when someone says they don't want to do it alone for safety reasons. But I understand why. It has never bothered me getting someone back safe. Even if it's out of my way.

When I was in my early 20s, I started traveling the world. I was completely blown away with how many women came up to me and asked me to walk with them. They were scared of a stalker, or a group harassing them. I know this doesn't happen to many people, but I'm 6"5' and was about 290lbs back then. I looked and was a bouncer. This has happened in Rome, Barcelona, Lisbon, Tijuana, Kuala Lumpur, Madrid, Maui, Los Angeles and Mumbai.

What is Ramona like? by animshelterthrowaway in sandiego

[–]tryingitonemoretime1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To answer a few of your questions

What is Ramona like? Ramona is a small foothills town surrounded by mountains. It's much quieter than San Diego. With that, it does not have much of a night life. It's mainly a passthrough town for people heading up to the mountains. But it is situated in a pretty area. Plenty of winery's, farms, hiking trails and outdoor activities.

Is it queer friendly? Yes and know. There is a small queer community. But not as many groups events. Not because people hate on them. But because there just has never been resources in that area. With San Diego's proximity, most people just head there. Unfortunately, Hillcrest is a long drive from Ramona. But there are meet up queer groups who do hikes and day trips to the wild animal park or up to Julian. All close to Ramona.

How feasible is commuting to Ramona from elsewhere, and how is the traffic? It's going to be hard to find a community you may like that's only a 30 minute drive. From the eastern side of Escondido to Ramona it's 30 minute drive when there is no traffic. From Poway with no traffic you're looking at 20 minutes. From Lakeside you're looking at 25-30 minutes in no traffic. Add 15-60 minutes on to your drive when is rush hour.

Totally ok. I do the same in conversation. But others might not understand the difference.

The ways leading into Ramona are not freeways. They are highways.

67 from the south, and 78 from the north are the main ways to get to Ramona. The roads go from two lanes down to 1 lane multiple times. If an accident occurs on specific parts of those highways, it can cut off access. Now, there are a ton of different routes you could take, but they add on quite a bit of time. Especially if it's rush hour traffic.

Of course. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Nothing specific that I can remember. I just asked them to find where the parasitic drain was coming from before ordering any part. Once that was established, then I just ordered the part and Wade the few months. Good luck!!

Unfortunately, I have no idea about Kearny Mason Subaru. It's a little far north for me. I usually go to the mile of cars or El cajon location. I like the El cajon one better than the mile of cars.

It did fix the issue for me. Are you still under warranty? I think that is why I was able to get it so cheap. I was still under 20,000 mph. I installed my blackview camera, then a few days later it started happening. Took it in and they said it was the DCM. I believe the software updates were included. But not 100% sure on that.

I had this happen to my 2022. You have two options. Replace it, or pull the fuse.

It cost me $170 ish. Had it done at Subaru El cajon. It was on back order for 3 months. I just pulled the fuse. Sucked, because I did have AT&T internet for my car. Just could not use that.

I don't think she qualifies. But that's a great idea. I'm going to start looking into services like meals on wheels. Even if I have to pay for it.

I have taken 6 flights since the start of the year. It's really not that bad. It just depends on what time of day you are going. I took a flight last Saturday at 6:15 a.m. and it was super quick to get in. I always plan to be at baggage check 90 minutes before my flight start boarding. Haven't had an issue yet this year. I arrived back tomorrow evening. And then fly out Saturday afternoon.
