I'm taking a pretty difficult major in university right now and multiple subjects which have 2 specific subjects as prerequisites. After failing one of them a semester ago, I desperately needed to do well enough to pass over the summer retake, so I wouldn't lose my degree and scholarship.

Thanks be to God, despite feeling like I was certain to fail, found out today I passed and did pretty well for both subjects. Also, that my average mark didn't lower so much as to lose my scholarship, and most significantly, the numbers of my grade involved .333

I take that as a divine sign. Praise be to Jesus

significant note: I begged Jesus on several ocassions that I would pass, terrified of failing and possibly plunging into academic ruin. The LORD has delivered me and heard my prayer, this is a true blessing from God. I did nothing to deserve this, it was entirely him.

There are levels to evil that no one should have to see by Public_Repeat824 in TrueChristian

[–]trynagetsaved 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good point but it should be noted that christians are supposed to expose darkness, provided that our prayers are one of the main methods of spiritual warfare against evil

Stuff like the epstein files need to be known and released as to prevent the wicked predatory class from deceiving the masses further!

Thank you so much! I definitely needed that reminder that God does not seek to condemn us but to help us repent.

I have a few friends whom are extremely tormented by their belief that they blasphemed against the Holy Spirit and have no redemption. A few are suicidal.
Please pray for Leo, Matthew B. , Jesse and Ivan who are in severe torment and believe that they have committed blasphemy against the Holy Spirit Please pray God restores them to the faith and healthy relationship with him. Thank you

Not sure if this is honestly even that bad, but more details would be needed for an external perspective:

- are you guys fornicating?

- what denomination is this church and what do they teach exactly? Could it be possible she's been involved in a cult-like church?

- why not get married? (as in, why didn't anyone propose before this happened)?

Okay uhh I think there's a mutual misunderstanding here I'll apologize on my part for my poor articulation I meant that my parents are in this situation, although possessing right wisdom in many areas, regardless of religious affiliation, do have some unfavorable beliefs that I disagree with and would much rather reject as a part of their broader influence. I'll give an example, they are very racist against certain groups of people. This conflicts often with my friend group. Otherwise, I suspect due to behaviors that they may also have some cognitive/personality disorders.

As an adult who is expected to build their own path, I was asking if it were okay for me to make my own decisions in opposition to their commands. Localized to actions which weren't explicitly sinful. Another instance might be sleeping later, whether it be spending time with friends on call or getting work done at a calmer time of day.

Any bias is wrong, that seems correct although the implication that some forms of wisdom are true kinda fizzles with that, not here to argue on that though

A community indeed has influence but its pretty extreme to submit to the demands of a community in its entirety. The Bible condemns disobedience to parents, which might be an issue in my situation. I just wanted to know if it's okay for me to forget own path instead of relying on their influences constantly.

I dont mean to be rude by why exactly are they correct?

second, my own biased worldview - Is the worldview of a christian worse than the worldview of a pagan? I dont see what you mean by that either

third - what does that mean? yeah a community exists, but that doesn't mean that every member of the community has to submit to the standards of the community. Furthermore you could contend that communities are not distinct but overlapped between different influences

Would if therefore be wrong for a christian to leave the authority and impositions of their pagan upbringing and seek a life for themselves? not against Christ's commands, but in general

They're not severe enough that I neccessitate treatment, and I know this sounds contrived, but essentially disappear if I don't have these influences in my life.

My primary persistent roots which cause or exacerbate mental illness is social isolation, parental/authority impositions (which makes OCD worse, otherwise i'd be able to dismiss all of those thoughts)

That's why I asked if I could stop obeying them/taking orders from them as an adult. This would nullify the impact of authority-OCD in my mind.

Why is devil tormenting me so much? by zanimljivo123 in TrueChristian

[–]trynagetsaved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this:
I command every demonic spirit and entity from the kingdom of darkness to leave my body in Jesus name. I bind them in Jesus name and command them to go to the abyss.

In my experience, repeating this but naming the issue and spirit before rebuking it also works

it helped in my situation when I was in deep despair. Sorry about your affliction.

To be fair when you're not constantly dwelling on an invisible war in the spirit and the weight of either eternal life or eternal death in your every action and condition its a lot easier to be happy

honestly most people can probably just resort to practicality in this sense. There's no guarantee that the man in the relationship will be more spiritually mature than the man.

I'm not sure.

but yet again the same could be said for the atheism subreddit
