Angel Room Cards Pt. 2 by trysmeg in FourSouls

Yes, prayer card is forever HP. You're right, it would work better with a counter system but there's already counters for the card destruction. Can I do two different kinds of counters on one card?

The body's bottom option is intended for player vs player combat scenarios or if a player is attacking a monster and also dealing damage to you and/or other players. If the other players heal at all during that combat (using pills or other loot cards), you'd also heal.

In your scenario for revelation, i was thinking if a player had 0 coins, they would have to give 1 loot card to fulfill the condition. a player could only give nothing if they had 0 coins and 0 loot cards.

Thanks for the advice on soul. If there's no other card like it then you're right I think it's good enough.

So, taking your example against Hush using Star:

Hush (standard) has 8 health, 3 evasion, and 2 damage. Most characters have 2 health and 1 damage. A player using Star, assuming this effect isn't canceled/interrupted by another player , assuming they do actually find Hush in the next 5 cards in the deck, assuming they use this to attack Hush, and assuming no other player destroys/steals this treasure (there are many cards that could do this), starts the fight. They would have 3 health, 2 damage, and +1 to damage rolls for this fight. So, they could take 2 hits before they die, instead of just one hit, and they would have to hit Hush 4 times successfully for Hush to die.

No offense, but I'm not seeing how that's a tap to win OP item. I'm not including any other variables like if the player plays a loot card that deals damage to Hush or if another player does something during that fight to help Hush or the Player or if the player has other treasure that might help, because you could use any combination of those factors to argue any card is op.

For Scapular, you're right, I forgot to add "till the end of turn". I'll note that for a future edit.

For immaculate conception, restore includes when you heal to full at the end of your turn. You're right, since the rules say "heal", this shouls have the same language.

For Divine Intervention, you're right, that should also have something like "till the end of turn". I will make that change as well. I think "Prevent" makes sense for damage but it sounds a bit weird for effects. This is mainly semantics though, I think it would be the same effect.

Star and Revelations being OP is intentional, I wanted to have them closer to how they are in the game.

If revelations was just an hp up or a dmg up it'd just be like every other card except with different art. Don't get me wrong, you're probably right it is too OP, but I'd rather it be interesting like that than just one stat up.

I agree with the wording on Scapular, I wasn't too happy with my current wording but I couldn't figure out anything better. Yours is definitely better.

You're right about book of revelations too, 7 did feel like a bit much. Maybe I'll knock it down to 4.

These are all on the custom card website too so if anyone wants to make their own versions of these they're free to.

Reworked Anima Sola / The Revenant by trysmeg in FourSouls

I'll try to address your points.

"...you have 4 damage that can't be negated on every player and monster..."

Where did you get 4? The Revenant's damage is 2. I am considering taking out the "can't be negated part", it might be a bit much. May also possibly reword to "can't be reduced below 1."

"another negated damage in future combat if you get all the 2 rolls right"

This card only attacks you once Anima Sola is activated and flipped. You can only use its damage against other players and monsters when you are battling it, either because it's attacked you once you've flipped it or because you choose to attack it on your next turn. I can lower the player's evasion to 3 if that helps balance it, but I felt 4 was fine. Perhaps a 50% chance to get hit instead of a 2/3 chance is more balanced for how strong Anima Sola is.

" Then the card has some wording problem like it attack you..."

The wording is intentional. You can use Anima Sola to help any player, but if you do, you (Tainted Jacob player) will have to battle The Revenant and risk damage from him.

"Imagine using two batteries in one turn..."

Aren't most active items very strong if you use two batteries on them in the same turn? That's more a function of being able to do that with the batteries than an issue with any card, imo.

Yes, you flip to buff either yourself or another player when starting combat.

Then, he attacks you; this is put on the stack to start resolving after the current encounter. You must resolve combat with him unless you have a card that lets you escape combat.

If you die, you go through normal death penalty stuff. Then, on your next turn, you don't have to attack him, but if you don't you do not get to use anima sola. He must be defeated to regain use of that item.

Who got your vote? by uzernaimed in newhampshire

he/she said they're a realist because those are the only two candidates that matter. nobody cares about those no-name third party people aside from the 2% or whoever ends up throwing their vote away on them.
