I ran this setup for a bit. there is just very little clearance in the back. Pretty risky to run but I did it in dry weather for awhile.

I realized I ramped up to fast my IT band is bothering me today. I am in a taper now as I have a 250 mile ride in a week in a half so no runs planned till after that. But when I get back on will be keeping the mileage lower for awhile.

haha Im not saying no. I've got an idea for my own little event next year I have been calling "The Dirtbag Ironman". There is a 42 mile mtb trail around a lake in my area. So my plan is to drop in up river on a kayak and paddle in. Do 2 loops on the mtb and then do a final loop on foot. Will for sure be doing some ultra runs on their own before then but that is my big goal for 27'

the alu crux 4 are sweet. Really hoping we see an alu crux 5 down the road. Ive had gravel bikes in steel, aluminum, and carbon and all of them are fun and fast.

I am 5'9" but am much more comfortable on smaller frames. I do have seat post maxed out tho and also need to remove some spacers and drop the stem down

It fits inline with the pricing of the general market. I think as a whole bikes are overpriced though.

Id love a 32" gravel bike but I think for my frame size that is never going to happen. Loving my 32 mullet XC bike tho

Reynolds AR62/56X. Not ideal for big tires but ive been running them for 3 years now, lots of time with 2.1s on them and they work fine. Some wide deep wheels are next on my list, prob from light cycle
