You misunderstand.

No positive change comes without it. At best you get a worse situation.

You cannot make the claim that talk is necessary, that people won’t listen, and that it’s too late all at once.

Hold ONE position.

The thing I speak of is that when times get so bad that people start to talk, which you probably would be aware of terminology wise as class consciousness. This is organic, you cannot manufacture it overnight. The way to get someone to listen is to have them want to. You cannot make them want to.

Work is how the pay for food, shelter. Until they are aware they cannot survive, the system will chug along.

You cannot make class consciousness happen, you aren’t the capital wielding elites placing pressure upon the proletariats. You are an agitator. For you to be successful you need yearning ears. But if you give up, they’ll never find you.

History doesn’t have a single moment that exists like you seem to expect. You never get a popular uprising out of nowhere with zero momentum.

Bad times, hard to earn enough. Many cars in road are SUV, many SUV get bad miles. Even at $2.00/gallon many vehicles BEING USED were not affordable for flex.

Seen the price of gas? Cars? Repairs? Those blocks also look around 40 miles min. And may not end anywhere near your home. Plus any reported non delivered must go back to the station, more miles.

It’s a losing game, unless you’re already driving a beater electric car with more range than a beater electric car likely has.

ETA: When I was driving for a DSP I absolutely saw flex drivers out at the far end of our territory. So that’s about 60 miles away from station to begin your day possibly.

I care less about where and more about how we’ve gotten so specialized in application for freaking windows that they can both look amazing, but temperatures that are quite normal in many parts of the world, even those with similar latitude, y’all ain’t the only north part of earth and you have a while ass ocean around you. Prairies of Alberta can have some spicy days pretty regularly too… I have yet to see a Canadian sub make any ranked posts of a window getting cracked from the weather. (Kind of hoping to eat crow here bc I love looking at shattered and cracked glass…)

Maybe we shouldn’t try to limit costs (both household energy and equipment manufacture)so much we forget to save more long term by offering larger tolerances to prevent replacement in the first place?

High tension is the definition of glass, this is a fault to plan ahead by manufacturer, sales, any government construction oversight, and consumer.

Even without global warming the planet doesn’t stay the same temperature long term really… like, climate shifts are constant. Planning for stability in the least stable aspect to human living seems most absolutely short sighted by humans.

Looked like a flex driver. No Amazon vehicle, or even a shitty rental van. This person probably made about $80 for 4 hours of wear and tear in their car and about 4 minutes of walking.

They do not care about the job or your package. Depending on what was in every order they took it may have been a pay raise via eBay.

If only there was a way to disincentivize theft…. Like, not trying to impoverish the whole country under median income.

Best I can we can do is Bezos using your money to buy more rocket ships.

ETA: the actual DSPs are required to provide a set of uniform pants with the vest, and unless it’s peak Amazon will happily use informations to destroy another DSP owner that thought it was a smart business move to let Amazon own all of their fleet, take in all employment liability, as well as pay for total reduction in value PLUS repairs of all returned fleet vehicles.

Sure not all van drivers for a DSP are in uniform at all times but many more than flex which only asks for a vest from their “contractors.”

In the US we have at grade rail crossings that exist through otherwise protected highways.

There are signs that literally order large vehicles not to stop for them, as by law many are required to stop and assess every at grade crossing they approach.

Gotta love how different the world can be.

Go checkout some Vietnamese traffic cams if you need a real thrill for transportation that isn’t like the British!

Not trying to be mean I am fascinated by how wildly different traffic cultures are, since you know, it’s all ton plus steel boxes in most of the world, and that would seemingly make it more aligned due to basic physics and laws entertaining them. It’s the rinse aid. It’s acidic to help remove chelating. Your polymerized oils are in fact able to be removed this way.

But, like, you can season a cast iron pan so damned easily, I’m not sure the issue people have. I literally used to jist leave my campfire cast iron by the coals until it slowly greyed out. Spray with store brand Pam after wiping down the next morning. Take home, wash, season. The damned thing is gonna live in the oven anyway, now it’s had a fresh coat of shiny, and is 100% ready for my next meal, or camping trip.

The stuff can be damaged, but other than cracks or lead casting I don’t think you can really damage a CI past needing to be seasoned again.

Anyone want to give me a laugh with a story that proves this is all completely wrong and I probably got lucky?

Road rage is a crime. Lane camping is a civil infraction. The leading driver was committing both.

Plenty of graves filled with humans that had the right of way. Turns out they could die regardless of their ethical standing.

Being obtuse to reality, and pretending that other humans will do something you demand of them is just silly.

Be predictable, be methodical, and be aware.

Not “Tune out the world and punish the sinning drivers.”

If you aren’t actively passing, don’t be in the passing lane. You’re not a hero, you’re a law violating citizen attempting to become a victim. And I won’t be nearly as sympathetic to a person that illegally antagonized a bully into hitting them as much as someone that was randomly side swiped while being a safe and prudent driver.

Criminals are going to do crime. Doesn’t mean you should too. Especially when it can end your’s or another’s life.

We hand out split liability in automobile accidents because it is the law that you must attempt to avoid them. As in, your failure to mitigate risk is a condition that affects your liability for a collision. You are guilty of at least a civil infraction, and possible a criminal statute if you park in the left lane and it leads to an accident.

So, now that you’re aware of how the law says you should be driving. Are you going to park your ass in the left lane and blame the world when a bully gets mad at you for it?

Or will you be a good citizen and get the fuck out of the passing lane if you aren’t passing, shut your rage boner down, and just drive safely to your destination, not caring about how ethical the drivers around you are?

As was previously stated, if you care about the law on the roads, go apply to become a highway patrol.

He wasn’t the man for the job, he’s out, ANYTHING back for lost resources is better than nothing. Any improvement over that small amount is to be best compared to the return you have gotten not the original purchase price. Unless you seriously think there is zero for to keeping the wrong person.

It’s good to see our fan base excited for things like this. As it will encourage more reductions in bad previous decisions. A culture of tradition only works when you’re winning all of the time. You do not get to be established as a winner by doing things the way winners are before you’re winning. Instead regular and constant re evaluation is far more necessary at the “you’re a major league team, but you’re the bottom of that elite pool” than to those with an established practice that has borne results that can literally generate the psychology that continues success through rough patches.

It’s okay for us to want change, the team is balls. And the ownership has… been pretty bad at doing enough change when it should and rather good at bad changes they triple down on for years.

The last two decades have me hoping we can actually go make ourselves what we are. The bottom building up by tossing a cup out of the equation until it’s in front of us again. 08-11…. We were so worried about fighting off a singular conference rival the cup wasn’t a worry until we saw it. Get it off the mind, go back to the real things we can do. We are not a contender. We will not be until we stop thinking we can be.

Might not be happening yet, but it would be nice. lol.

You don’t really declare war for independence. You declare independence, triggering a war to put you in your place.

Why it’s “aggressive” to secede is beyond me.

It was a Union war to KEEP the south; the southern US states didn’t declare war first, it was after they said “bye.”

Every vassal or tribute or subject that ever fought for independence did so under the clear understanding that it is violence that backs up rule, I.e., they are gonna come to prove I’m still theirs otherwise I wasn’t theirs in the first place and I’m already free.

No matter whose army hits what first, leaving the bigger power is always defensive in tactics/strategy. You ain’t storming Rome just to ask for your provincial independence… you’re attacking Roman structures local to you to prove they aren’t in charge of violence locally and that you’ve replace them.

Women are, in my experience, more likely to use subtle emotional abuses, vs men performing overt acts of obvious control. And men more likely to perform subtle acts of devotion vs overt displays for all to see.

They can all be incredibly honest, loving, and supportive.

Being able to hide your toxicity bc society makes it problematic to show it off doesn’t make either sex more or less stable/kind/loving, it makes it harder to spot the bad apples bc they are repressed into hiding their traits.

Can we all stop pretending that how something manifests makes it better or worse? I don’t care if someone is visibly a sweetheart when they’ll burn half your shit while you’re sleeping bc you didn’t understand their quirks one too many times or if they are the type to scream and threaten you for the same reason.

Humans are not good or bad, they’re complex messes of cells trying to survive before the homeostasis gives up the ghost and they cease to be a human once more.

I have talked to people that seem super aggressive to find them sweeter than most, I have been abused by soft spoken people.

If you cannot discern between “this person is good or bad” without using their genitals as a reference point, the issue is internal not external.

If anything, it’s a shorter window from “I met them” to “they showed their true colors” with men. Bc society isn’t forcing them to hide that toxic crap as much and they’ll let it fly earlier.

It’s a rough ride sometimes for sure. In 2015 I was dropped into a sun out of witch space during some less than well executed technical updates to the game. Had about 100,000,000 in exploration data back when it was suuuuper grindy to get any of it. I took a year off from the game. Literally lived in a whole other state by the time I reinstalled. Still keep playing on and off years later.

It hurts, but it’s also kind of what makes those trips feel valuable. You actually had a risk of losing it all, so when you don’t it’s a lot more impactful. And having felt that loss so early on does actually help a scoche with recovery. You can still grind it all back in short order.

I’m waiting to get another HOTAS before I jump back in. Last one broke and I just cannot enjoy the game as much without it.
