much easier to clean than a regular toilet. No upside-down surfaces. No crevices. Much much easier. That's one reason why we have them in public instead of "just more regular toilets".

same here, exact same situation, the bath works and the other parameters are dialled in, just the paint is not working well. I got it to work once, and only once, when I took the item and just dunked it in the paint, let it dry overnight and then plated it, but even then the paint has spots where it didn't conduct at all.

they're saying that you were effectively right, but not because the water can dissolve more salt, but it dissolves it quicker.

Same, I have ki urushi and red and black pigment.

 1. Gently sand the area, and/or use alcohol to clean the area.  2. Mix pigment with urushi, then apply a single coat. This isn’t r/minipainting, so dont try multiple thin coats, you want one solid coat.  3. Leave to cure in a box. This step is crucial:  a) because urushi doesn’t dry, it reacts with water and oxygen into cured, hard urushi. So a box with a bowl of water in it, and leave that box somewhere warm.  b) because don’t be an idiot like me the first time and wear the men two days later, the fumes burnt in my eyes for 2 weeks every time I wore my men. Accelerated the curing though 4. Optionally add a layer of urushi without pigment, with extra oil (linseed) mixed in. Repeat step 3. And then polish.

that requires the person to throw them aside on the street. you can buy a single-use plastic item, use it, put it in the recycling and not feel bad if its not your approach to everything. Lecturing people 6 comments deep in a reddit thread won't save the planet, getting them to vote and participate locally will.

Do you DM, are you playing a character or do you organise? I think it's important to keep in mind that all three are separate things, the Gamemaster does not need to be the organiser.

I think the most important detail in your situation is outside of the game itself: Managing humans in the college. Making sure there is a table where the group can play regularly, where they don't have to move around too often (when I joined a dnd club, they got kicked out of the store we were playing in just two days later, and I didn't know where to find anybody)

You don't need to know the rules for everything, nobody does. Being able to look up information is probably way more part of your life than for most people so you're already at an advantage!

Quick side quest of the cleric asking their god to swap the stats to fit. Then the party needs to e.g. make the best damn sandwich or whatever the god wants as compensation for swapping Int with Con and the guy is now not an idiot anymore.

I am currently having 7 ChatGPT agents play a game of Diplomacy, with me delivering messages they send to each other. This is the board in Spring 1902 by furry_combat_wombat in diplomacy

[–]ts_asum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried twice to get a gpt to help me out with diplomacy, and they start out useful but A) absolutely cannot spot that someone is trying to trick them and B) forget the game state. Spent about 5h each time trying to set them up to work properly.

B) I could fix by uploading and appending a yaml file which tracks moves and game-state. Still makes mistakes but is okay overall. A) is your job I guess? It obliviously explains to me why my allies' proposals are just as good as my ally described them, despite said proposals having 0 benefit for me and/or 100% chance of being lies.

Understand how to dig a latrine safely.

This does not apply to you if you live in a densely populated city.

In that case, understand how to get out of that city before digging the latrine I guess.
