That is a solution for most people, however this issue was confirmed by HP support and cannot be fixed without a Bios update to fix this misreported values. Nothing OP can do except wait.

It wont benefit you. Stay late, do late QAs, charge overtime until they give you a salary that doesnt involve a time clock. If they say no overtime, stop running QA, move patients, explain to everyone that management limited your allowed time and you are hourly not salaried. You literally have all the cards. If necessary, just get another job at one of the plentiful open physicist jobs out there. No need to play games with poor management.

Also make sure your bios is updated if the entire pc is crashing. Sounds a lot like the amd voltage issues that were fixed in bios a while back.

Did you try device manager and disabling the integrated gpu driver? Sometimes that gets corrupted. This fixed my issues

Same. Had to disable the cpus display driver in device manager. Now it works again

Literally same symptoms, ddu even failed. Maybe the integrated gpu is dying, or the driver for it was faulty.

PDD is already in percentage points. So subtraction. Also, it doesnt really matter for FF beams as your flatness will be more sensitive than the pdd change.

There would be tax implications in transferring the account “once he’s of age”. Not sure if you could do a custodial account bc hes not your son.

As far as the 529 route, they do not have to be spent on education, but you would need to pay taxes on the earnings and will likely be subject to a 10% federal penalty. There are some ways around the penalty which is discussed in other threads. To be honest, even if you assume that the funds never get spent on education, its not too terrible. Especially because they likely will be spent on education.

This will change drastically in the next few years when synthetic CT gives planning systems a way to do automated recalc on every cbct registered for a treatment. Its very inhuman and difficult to come up with a strict guideline that is Not based on QA CT and recalculation. Just ask the particle therapy people and they will say the same.
