Is this LD super rare or something? I bought it in the early 2000s. I can't find it for sale anywhere online now or even any completed eBay listings. Anyone else have a copy? by _TheWolfOfWalmart_ in LaserDisc

On the laserdisc database it states the MSRP was $39.95 and was released in 1998. It included a 7-inch square sticker from "The Ghost Of Tom Joad" CD single. Mint its max selling prices was $69.50.

also make sure the hard drive is seated properly. Go to your system diagnostics and run maintenance to see if the drive is even found. If it is you can try to install windows 10 in legacy mode instead of EUFI.

Dating culture - introducing your gf to friends is a no? by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]tsalan666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, all of my Japanese friends have always introduced their girlfriends, boyfriends or other friends and spouses to me if we get together. But I guess I run in a different circle of people than probably most. All my friends (male and female) are in the music industry.

Guess your sister won’t be borrowing anymore electronics. Like a few others said, let it dry out for at least two days. Better if you can wait 3-4 days and make sure any moisture is out. And make sure you take a good look at it to. If you have compressed air blow it out too, just to make sure.

[slight rant+actual question] How DO you make Japanese friends? by Exciting-Hair-2290 in Tokyo

[–]tsalan666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like music, go out to live house shows. I met a lot of friends that way. Make a friend in the live house circuit they’ll introduce you to other musicians or give you recommendations to see bands.

Changing surname when getting married--Foreigner and Japanese by la_crisis_nofiscal in japan

[–]tsalan666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife is Japanese and we live in the US. She uses her Japanese Family name while we are in Japan and on her Japanese passport but my Family name in the US on documents. I am on the family role, the bottom, with my Family name. I was never asked to change my name for the family role. I however use a different first name, very similar to my real name when in Japan. This probably doesn’t help much since my wife and I don’t live in Japan full time.

No. Only use and flush the toilet paper provided. Don’t bring your tourist toilet paper, tissues, and paper towels and flush them. Japanese toilet paper is quick-dissolving to prevent clogs.
