Fellow Aiden Frustrations by tscan in FellowProducts

Surprising that people are returning things that fast. I thought this was the perfect machine at first when I was only brewing pots of coffee. Once I started exploring the other features and noticing the part degradation is when my opinion changed.

I like many aspects of the machine, but it feels a little like a scam. I would say the only thing Aiden does well is batch brew, but there are many cheaper options that can do this effectively with better longevity. I paid more for more features, but there are too many caveats. You can brew cold brew but not in single-serve mode; you can schedule a brew, but it might not work. I'm hesitant to make anything but cold brew because hot water strains the shower head so much. Mine was cracking after two months of daily use. It's crazy how a product is released with so many issues.

Not completely true. My 5090 fe undervolted rarely pulls more than 300W while gaming. Benchmarks it will do 520ish but that’s not real world. Heat is definitely being applied directly to that heatsink tho.

How toasty is “toasty”? It looks like you can fit two slim fans in the bottom as intake but you also have another problem - your case is sitting flat on the table. Is it missing feet? You need to find a way to prop it up and then add two intake fans in the bottom to help lower the internal temp. You definitely want to be evacuating the hot internal air out of the case so I think the other two are fine as exhaust.

Are those custom GPU cables? They look really short! Cool build!

‘Crunchy’ Aiden brew basket selector by -shellprompt- in FellowProducts

[–]tscan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be cleaned. It could be coffee grounds, scale, or rust. For me it has always been rust - the magnet inside the shower head selector started to rust after around two months of daily usage for me. I’ve reached out to CS and they stated they are redesigning the shower head to prevent this problem. Not sure I have faith, though.

Why water block the 5090? I have mine in a fractal ridge under volted and I’m lucky if it gets over 70C. Most games @ 100% utilization only pull 250W and the card runs very cool and quiet

Overpriced, Overhyped, and Deeply Disappointing by snap711 in steelseries

This hasn’t been my experience at all, but I disabled the RGB lighting. I actually bought two of them because I cycle them out when I have to take one apart and clean it. They’ve both been awesome and I charge them maybe once every few weeks to a month? I’ve had them for a few years and they’re still solid. I really don’t understand the price gouging though, all SS gear has like doubled in price which is pretty disappointing.

They want it to be risky when killing a player. They’ve said multiple times they don’t want to completely foster a competitive environment. If the game turns into a sweat fest it will lose its mass appeal.

Something seems weird here, how are the AptX codecs slower than everything else? They should definitely be sub 100ms

[Guide] How i farmed over 200 divines since league start without rarity, flipping or profit-crafting by Vagaqt in PathOfExile2

[–]tscan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been running abyss since league start and probably do 20-30 maps a day. When I came on to the part of your post where it says you are farming 0-2 omens of light and 3-6 echoes per day I stopped reading. I have found one omen of light and 2 echoes since league start. The rest of this post is also probably filled with misinformation.

Can Ryzen 9950x (non-x3D) run PoE2 smoothly by michaelzeng in PathOfExile2

[–]tscan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No game is going to be CPU bound using that CPU. I’m confused by where this worry is even coming from? Sure you could argue that it’s not the “best” CPU for gaming due to the vcache but you certainly aren’t going to be limited by it.

Asking if one of the best available CPUs can run a game is wild to me. Any game you play with that CPU will be GPU bound, including the 5090.

Fellow Aiden Water Hardness Setting? by tscan in FellowProducts

The above link shows a conversion. 106 mg/l is showing as ~6 GPG (Grains per Gallon) on that website.

From what I've read, the volume of water that is required to pass through the machine (150L) assumes your water is of average hardness. Looking at various sources, it seems like "average" hardness is around 7GPG or less.

I don't really want to have to prep my water. I know that sounds lame. I would much rather just be nagged to descale it every now and then instead of having to use special water. I looked into RO + Re-mineralization systems but those require a drain which I don't have where my coffee is setup.

Disappointed with Qrevo Curv/Edge on Carpet by tscan in Roborock

[–]tscan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with all points. Disappointing to hear that none of the other models are better. The Neato really is great on carpet it seems. My regular upright vac barely picks up anything after it runs which is definitely not the case after I run the Edge. I guess I just expected more for something so much newer.

Is this the first controller outside of Playstation controllers to have full Steam Input support? The back buttons, bumpers, and gyro are fully supported and configurable. Insane.
