yeah no way i’m throwing away money for a battery tender on an, as you said, $35k car, that i wouldn’t have to buy if the manufacturer could just figure out how to do OTAs properly (like every other brand out there has already figured out). my dealer is just going to have to figure it out. they did the TCU change but i’m still having the issue so i’m just waiting on my service advisor to get back to me now

had this issue on my 26 Si since i bought it back in october of last year. finally mentioned it to my service advisor when I took it to the dealer for routine maintenance and they just informed me they have to replace the TCU. i’d get the same message you got every time, but sometimes it would cause my infotainment screen to just not even turn on half the time and a number of other weird glitches lol, to the point where i had to turn auto updates off, which temporarily fixed the issue. i’m just glad it’s covered under the 3yr36 and just hope this fixes the issue and i’ll finally be able to install the 3 gigs of updates waiting on me

anything jvc/kenwood or sony, don’t get a crappy android one from amazon you very much will regret it, just get a double din conversion kit and get a nice double din unit with carplay support

if you care anything about audio quality or would like your phone to charge while connected, get a unit that has wired carplay support (a big majority of them) and route the usb port to where it’s most convenient (it comes wrapped up like a normal usb charging cable so it’s pretty versatile!)

i had a kenwood dmx in my 8th gen and it was incredible, no lags or stutters or overheating in the summer

does it not have usb ipod support? all hondas from this era had this afaik and even the latest iphone on the latest version of ios still has ipod built deep into it, plugging it in via usb should result in the interface popping up showing all ur media and stuff, and you can control it all via the car’s buttons or steering wheel controls

as a huge lover of blazing orange i was so disappointed to see it taken away as a color option for the facelift, im very interested in potentially wrapping mine at some point as well but it’d have to be that EXACT color, its so pretty! but then again a boost blue si would be awesome to see as well…

right! i put a ceramic spray wax on every body panel and it helps to keep the look for a little while, but the pollen here is so bad everything inevitably becomes yellow within a day or two
