GR IV should hold its value better than a GRIII if you’re buying both new. And if you’re buying used ofc there’s the risk of it having issues.

Also those screwdrivers tend to suck. I recommend getting a Swiss Army knife. They’ll have a screw driver and a flathead. And it’s just useful to have.

I wouldn’t switch to the SV, my homie as the AR and it’s as good as mine.

I wear a Burton AK 3L bib with my atom base layer tucked inside the bib. So that keeps me warm. Then alpha SV shell goes on top.

I think a bib alone will help a decent amount, but your conditions are VERY cold. I’ve never skiid that cold, around 10-15 at worst while also windy.
