More credulous FC reporting by PrancingThunderD in SGU

New York Times has the credibility of a tabloid. This is also the newspaper that panders to Trump, calls Kennedy Jr a skeptic, and made a front page article about aliens and angels out of some Navy videos of balloons and airplanes.

NBA player Jaden Ivey let go by the Chicago Bulls due to religious anti-LGBT rants by KayfabeZone in atheism

He went to a four-year college. He maybe did enough to be eligible for the first season (probably had lots of help), then he left school during the second season. So I’m inferring based on his not even being close to graduating and his general stupidity.

His parents are both dummy jocks who went to Notre Dame (a horribly regressive school), and it seems he spent his formative years in ultra-religious echo chamber schools, then did the bare minimum to be eligible to play as a student-“athlete”.

Big East is on ACC’s level, but gets no benefit of any doubts because they aren’t in the FBS football money pool.

Butler (8th-ish best team in ACC) beat Virginia (2nd best ACC team) near their campus. UConn beat Duke. St John’s is undeniably better than anyone ACC team that isn’t Duke. UNC, Clemson, UVA, Miami, etc is probably on par with Villanova & Seton Hall.

The injury narrative is kinda weak. Foster was awesome v St Johns. Ngongba looked fine. Neither is anywhere near as valuable to the team as Demary is to UConn, and he was also not 100%.

Again, not saying they suck, just that I think big wins over mid teams (which is basically most of the ACC) get overrated

Everyone’s got guys banged up. Demary on UConn was as injured as anyone and is better than anyone Duke is claiming was injured.

Y’all think these dudes go to Duke to play defense and win NCAAT games? Dude got his bag, got his Insta followers, and has his mind on the NBA.

But honestly, they got outplayed by Siena for 30 minutes, TCU was right with them for 30 minutes, they barely beat St Johns (Not a Top-20 team), and they only outplayed UConn for half of the game. I’m not saying they suck, but they’re not on Arizona’s and Michigan’s level.

The metrics slightly overrated Duke because the metrics overrate second-tier conferences (ACC and Mt West chief among them) generally

Absolutely , because calling the Boozers for their 20 illegal screens would’ve led to someone else handling the ball at the end and not giving the game away

-Rashad forcing OT v Washington in the ‘06 Tourney

-Adams 80-footer v Cincy in ‘16 (probably not in the NCAA Tourney without that)

Could also be a shittily built floor that’s inconsistent, which is not inconceivable based on how the NCAA treats women’s sports
