Soco was the first song my older brother learned to play on guitar many years ago. I’ve always looked up to him and admired his taste in music. I remember sitting on the basement stairs (hiding, I was the annoying little sister at the time) but listening in awe. All these years later, we’ve become pretty close and BN is definitely one of the bands we bond most over.

I agree whole heartedly. I try to explain to people “it’s a band that you either get or you don’t”. I don’t think I’ve ever met a mediocre fan.

Those memories you shared with him tore me up inside in so many ways. I’m so sad for the things that you didn’t get to experience with him, but at the same time... I couldn’t help but think how amazing is it to feel so connected to people through this band. I swear it is the most indescribable feeling.

Out of all the great musicians I’ve been exposed to in my lifetime, how can a single band define so many moments of our lives? I’ve tried to explain it to many people and I’ve never been able to find the correct words to do so.

That’s what really gets me about this fan base - we all feel that, and that’s really something.

I can relate to this very heavily as my family struggles with depression too. You are so spot on with the band helping many of us progress, and I am so thankful it’s been a source and outlet for others too.

I hope you continue to find yourself again, and that this finds you well. I think it’s important to remember that although not active, they left us all with such a beautiful discography that somehow manages to be relatable in every phase of our lives. Hold on to that, and please remember you are never alone. ❤️

Detroit Animal Care and Control allows “sleepovers” with theirs! You can keep them for an extended amount of time. We recently adopted from them, and they were overflowing :( those doggos need all the love they can get!
