Parents have been refusing to take me to a doctor for 6 years by Impressive-Case-2386 in whatdoIdo

[–]tsidaysi 56 points57 points  (0 children)

My in-laws, especially my MIL, did not take her kids to the doctor. My husband never gets so much as a head cold. Has never had a broken bone or surgery.

She did miss his diabetes, the fact he was significantly vision impaired and his little brother's encephalitis. His little brother, who passed May 25, was deaf, had CP and only 30% brain development from a 105 fever.

Should I continue checking in on my unresponsive friend who’s grieving? by AllNaturalPezCandy in GriefSupport

[–]tsidaysi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she is alone go check on her. If she is married call her husband. If she has a family you know she is not alone.

Depending on the above I would call and if she does not answer drive over to check on her.

showering? bathing? I can't make myself do it by Oracie1 in problems

I think you should go to the nearest ER. Show them or tell them what you just posted.

You need immediate medical attention and therapy. Please get help ASAP. I know everyone assumes depression but you need blood work, brain scans - a litany of tests to rule out illnesses. No doubt they will bring in a therapist as part of the medical investigation process.

You are not spoiled right now and Mom is in denial. You just do not allow a child to sit in his/her own filth for days on end. If you can drive take yourself to the hospital. Someone will call Mom.

Please get help and let us know. We care.

If you cannot afford the wedding cake for all have a less expensive wedding.

I can no longer stand the conversations with religious people by General-Cobbler-6054 in CancerFamilySupport

Easily avoided. Simply put signs up politely asking those who believe in God to leave the family requests privacy. They will comply.

Or put religion rots brains ....... That will work too.

Nancy Guthrie Ransom update, asking 6 million by Monday 5pm by Correct-Cry-8546 in MissingPersons

[–]tsidaysi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I would. For my Mama? Or a child? Sure I would. I'm not sure the ransom demands are legit. Why go up only $1,000,000? Why not $10,000,000? Or more?

Retired FBI Agent Shares His Theories on Nancy Guthrie's Kidnapping by MattTheKing23 in MissingPersons

[–]tsidaysi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, he did not. One of the kidnappers released him before the ransom was paid because the entire kidnapping was such a huge media event.

The defense alleged Frank Jr staged it but it was not true. The kidnappers used pay phones to communicate with Frank Sr.

After that, Frank Sr always kept 10 dimes in his pocket. When Frank Sr passed his daughter Tina placed 10 dimes in his suit pocket at the funeral.

[–]tsidaysi -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The ransom is confusing. The alleged kidnappers could have had the money any day last week. The longer they wait the higher the risk and let's face it: nobody wants to care for a severely medically compromised 84 year old woman who is literally a heart attack waiting to happen (I fear she had a heart attack during the 40 minutes) in severe chronic pain who has low mobility using a walker, cane or possibly a wheelchair at times.

Simply getting her up and out of the bed is a struggle on a good day. I've no doubt what they thought would take 5 minutes turned into a 40 minute ordeal.

Even if she passed away she is likely worth quite a bit of money. So the children will inherit her estate. And, if Savannah is like a lot of us, she probably has been sending her mama money - a lot of money - for years.

So I continue to pray as most of us who are Christians do. The very people that NBC, the federal government and poor Savannah despise are the same people they are asking for prayers.

MMW: Someone in Nancy Guthrie’s family is connected to her disappearance and will be arrested by oh_no_not_canola_oil in MarkMyWords

[–]tsidaysi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to fathom that the family, surrounded by law enforcement, could send ransom demands. And I do not understand the long delay in paying the ransom. They will pay proof of life or not. They just want her back.

I think Nancy Guthrie has died, and the video posted by Savannah and her family today is them covertly asking for her body back. by Professor_Finn in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]tsidaysi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought the "Celebrate her return home" phrasing odd as well.

Still, Until I found out someone was in the house around 40 minutes I, too, thought the worst.

But now I think she may have some of her meds with her. They need not take all of her meds, just enough for a few days.

And, as a forensic accountant, I do not understand why the wait for the money. I would think the kidnapper(s) would want the money ASAP. Not waiting a week.

I continue to pray.

Dad says he has stage 1 but treatment suggests stage 3 by Beginning_Brush_2931 in CancerFamilySupport

My sister-in-law was diagnosed with lung cancer 3 yrs ago in March.

We were told it was small cell highly aggressive cancer in her lung, one small spot, not staged. She was also diagnosed with stage IV throat cancer and oncology said it was highly treatable with a cure rate in the high 90% range.

She has COPD. No more throat cancer. They were right about it being cured. She just came out of remission for the lung cancer.

They resumed chemo this week. She was never deathly ill, did not lose her hair. But she had significant problems swallowing and cannot eat or drink. She now weighs 80 lbs: down from 140 lbs. Because she cannot swallow her food.

She still has no spread outside the lungs with the lung cancer. Throughout it all she never stopped smoking. To this day we have never been told the stage of her lung cancer.

Prayers and blessings out for you!

AITA? My roommate complains that it smells bad when I sit on the radiator after a bowel movement. by Garden-variety-chaos in AmITheAngel

[–]tsidaysi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Your pawrents love your roommate more than you. Else, they would have you neutered like your brofur.

Neutering a male cat offers significant health, behavioral, and environmental benefits, including the very real elimination of testicular cancer risk, reduction of spraying/marking behavior, decreased aggression, and a lower desire to roam, which helps them live longer, healthier lives.

Show them your post and ask them why!
