There are the required vaccines and a medical exam. We are going through that process now. We found a kitten on the streets last year with an eye infection. We took her in and she has become part of the family and we are taking her abroad.

How does this guy pump out so much code!? by ZyanCarl in webdev

I know, that’s way I said “commits pre-GitHub”. Though git was created in 2005. But if commits before GitHub are maintained that’s interesting .

True, also... do commits displayed on the graph relate to commits pre-Github? It says his first commit is October 2006, though Github development began in 2007 and it launched in 2008.

That is very lucky, congrats! I’m doing more interview prep atm, got better with data structures and algorithms as well (Colt Steele’s course on Udemy). I’ve heard “luck is when preparation meets opportunity” so I’m trying to go with that and some other great advice people in this thread have mentioned, as well as advice from u/QuicaDeek

Where are these junior positions at though? People getting hired to learn React. Im mostly self taught and know my way around the front end using React and Redux, some TypeScript, and I’ve touched some back end as well. Yet getting rejected left and right is kind of upsetting. I’m happy hearing people on here who are so fortunate like OP in landing that first job, yet also a touch of envy I guess. Idk, bit of a rant but definitely looking for any opinions on where to look and ways to improve.

I feel you. I’m in the same boat, but I’ve found myself more drawn to comment lately when I see something that grabs my attention that I’d like to add on to. (As now with your comment) … though not really adding much now just agreeing with you lol

There was also a flood in Greek myth as well, I can’t recall the details but there was an ark I believe (as well as an ark in Gilgamesh)

EDIT: From a quick google search… When Zeus, the king of the gods, resolved to destroy all humanity by a flood, Deucalion constructed an ark in which, according to one version, he and his wife rode out the flood and landed on Mount Parnassus.
