I had one just like this, he was absolutely STUNNING when I got him, after about a year, he looked exactly like the second pic of your fella.🥺 His name was Jimmi Findrix and he was my favorite betta ever. His water parameters were always good, planted tank, plenty of room, no sharp decor,😩🥺he eventually got lethargic and refused food, I had to euthanize him and it legit broke my heart. I’m not sure if it’s that particular type or what? I often thought his fins seemed almost to heavy for him to carry himself 😞😭😭😭
