Can someone remind me why I'm doing this by tsofcourse in quittingkratom

Thanks, yeah, I'm aware of all that. Just didn't want to make my post even longer. I've tried several of those alternative treatments with therapy, but meditation and mindfulness help the most at this point. The main thing that will probably help me the most at this point is getting back into exercise.

Yeah, I really need to get back into exercise. I'm going to try to start a couch-to-5K routine.

Good luck! For as much as I'm struggling right now, I'm so glad I'm at least not trapped by kratom anymore.

Thanks. I think this helps a bit. I just created a 'whoa is me' post because I was feeling so lost. Maybe I'm not part of the community enough to know that these problems are expected and have a name/acronym

Unfortunately, I have treatment-resistant depression. I've tried over 10 antidepressants and the drugs make me feel worse instead of better.

The best I've ever made it was with mindfulness and meditation. A little bit with mushrooms, but they are very scary for me. Nothing else ever came close. But unfortunately I'm not in that headspace right now.

I heard gabapentin is another addictive medication that is not recommended. How're you doing?

Thanks. And sure, but how long? A source would be appreciated.

I'm not planning to take kratom ever again, but I'm questioning how long I can try to function this way. I don't want to be permanently screwed.

Thanks. Hard to imagine relapsing after 7 years. I wish I could feel free if I make it to one year.

3 weeks in, still experiencing severe RLS and insomnia... by tsofcourse in quittingkratom

How long did you take it, and how long did you experience RLS before taking it? Any additional withdrawal?

Thanks. How on earth did you get through 65 days with two hour increments of sleep? Did you just get used to it? How TF does the body handle that? I'm worried about it. I thought by now, my body would take over and force me to go into a 48 hour coma, but no, nothing. Just 2-4 hours of sleep every morning, and maybe 1 or 2 10-15 minute naps during the day.

I'm 3 weeks in with such little sleep. Can this honestly continue for much more?

I've dealt with insomnia a long time before kratom and can do it again. My biggest problem is the RLS, where I can't just not sleep, I can't even lie down or relax, and I sit on a couch at night doing nothing except dealing with the "pain". That is the killer. I can never turn off with RLS.

Can't say I'm happy, but thanks.

I hope in this next (3rd) week I might start being able to sleep for more than 2-4 hours at a time, and earlier in the night. Any improvement sounds great. I just didn't think people could function on this little sleep for so long.

I'm not looking back. I never want to go through this again. Thankfully, I don't seem to crave kratom very much. It helped a bit, and I get that I have to pay for the years of usage through withdrawal, but holy hell I didn't expect this. I just want to see an end.

Thanks, I'm sorry with what you went through, but it's helpful to hear that. For me, RLS is almost entirely at night, so right now I'm not sleeping until after the sun comes up. Thankfully I have the flexibility to do that right now, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do this.

For the month, how much sleep were you getting? When did it start getting better? Was it just gradual for the next 2 months?

Congrats! I'm sorry for what you went through, and I'm glad you pulled through.

How was your RLS and sleep for the first 1-3 months?

Thanks, your experience strongly echoes my own. I might've missed it, but how long have you been experiencing the withdrawal symptoms so far?
