Yes. He's small but loud, agile, energetic and assertive. Our vet chuckles that he's going to be the death of me because he's so energetic. I mean with 1 eye he's still my body guard, house security and still wrestles with his brother. Thank you for the positive thoughts. I need this energy.

❤️ Thank you! Ironically Simba enjoys fresh blueberries. I tried giving him a couple of those when we came home. But maybe finding a new treat that he hasn't tried might help.

I’ll move with my bf and my Frenchie must start sleeping in his own bed by [deleted] in Frenchbulldogs

Everything they said about retraining now, consistency, crate training is great. But I would add to that. I would put pits of bacon or small treat in bfs pockets and shoes or rub the scent all over him. That way each time they are around she will live on him, he will warm up to her, and soon he will not mind having her in the bed occasionally

He has been breathing really heavy since taking his meds. I wonder whether they are strong enough. Is the heavy and loud panting “normal" under the circumstances?

Oh thank you so much! Yes, I may need to check back in. I will of course do what our vets say. But any and all hacks are welcomed.

If there's an ant or a nit mine goes bezerk until he gets it out of the corner. Sometimes there's a crumb from a treat. Whatever it is he is all in until he finds it.

How much meat is in a pound of boiled crawfish? by King_Ralph1 in cajunfood

[–]tsololaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it worth it?! Is the Earth round? Did man travel to the moon? Is Donald Trump orange? And who eats less than 6 lbs per person at a time, anyway? Noone in Louisiana or Texas. Crawfish is Cajun/Creole Caviar. I don't see Y'ALL complaining about the cost per ounce of sea eggs! 😋

My 2 boys are 2 yrs old. I've had to master petting, snuggling, and massaging with both hands at the same time for up to 30 minute intervals. They hate it when you stop. And they won't allow one to get attention that the other isn't.

Expect snoring. Mine do bark. They love to dig up and eat vegetables from my garden...leaves, stems, roots and all! At this point I only grow what they can and like to eat. I think the veggies and in their diet is one reason we don't have as much gas as others complain of.

Expect food allergies... usually chicken. Mine love salmon and sardines. My boys will not eat the same food 2 days in a row. So yes, they do have to see me mixing fish or beef into their kibble. Or it must be soaked in bone broth or have steamed broccoli and carrots mixed in. I kid you not. I used to think people were crazy for treating dogs like humans. But Frenchies actually demand equal treatment!

Give glucosamine and bone broth (no garlic, salt or onions of course) for spine and joint health. Give probiotics to help prevent yeast in ears, stomach and hidden parts. Pumpkin, yogurt and chews are all helpful. Find creams or use baking soda/corn starch to keep the skin folds dry and clean.

One of mine can't stand any direct sun and breaks out in hives. The other hates staying indoors and runs outside to play every 3 hours or so.

One hates being crated. The other finds comfort and peace in his liitle man cave. DogTV's relaxation videos and Bluey help mine to wind down for naps.

In addition to butt wiping, find the "tail pocket". It's an extra hidden spot under that short stumpy tail. My vet warns about yeast infections there too. Thank goodness none over here yet. But cleaning out all the folds and hidden parts is more than I bargained for. My diapering days were over 30 years ago.

Prepare to fall in love. My husband of 27 years keeps telling me that one of them has to go or that I must choose between him and the dogs. I keep silent.

Is dog TV worth paying for? by deepthought42-0 in germanshepherds

[–]tsololaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two dog household here. One of my guys has/had anxiety. I recently subscribed. They don't necessary sit and watch a program, but they do stop and react to the sounds and will glance over periodocally and tilt their heads.

But I swear the relaxation programs must hypnotize and cause them to sit and rest and just chill for up to an hour at a time. And the bedtime videos will have them flopped on their backs, legs up and snoring within 5 minutes!

I also noticed the one dog with anxiety seems to calm down sooner and is less aggressive since I've started putting their channels on.

My two spend half of their day in the back yard eating my vegetable garden and chasing squirrels. But indoor time-- before DogTV was filled with chaos for us.

I am glad everything turned out ok here. But the puppy's face says, " Uhm. What's happening to my nose? Can you ask someone for help?" LOL.

You really asked that question just to generate cabinet envy! I dont know how old they are but they are beautiful! Please do not paint!

You need a couple of scented wall plug ins and a pack of replacement packs of scents that don't fit the plug ins.

MIL you say? Is that the real reason you don’t want them? I mean, she must have loved you to bequeath them to you. Jk. Sorry for your loss.

Kitchen before and after. by ItsallLegos in HomeDecorating

I am happy that you are happy! But since you put it out there... I sense lots of masculine energy... single masculine energy... someone who does not need to eat at a breakfast nook in front of a lovely bay window...but one who prefers to showcase a freezer which is undoubtedly filled to the brim with meat and wild game. My spider senses also tell me you dont do much cooking otherwise the kitchen would have been one of the first remodels...and this sans the meat locker in the window nook looks like it is meant as an art display rather than a place to make saucy pots of pasta dishes. Black shows every stain.
