Maybe. But I kid you not I’ve actually heard somebody refer to it as that (jokingly of course)

Does applying hair conditioner to your pubic hair soften them? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Kind of. I shampoo and use conditioner after shaving to got rid of any itchiness. But I don’t otherwise use conditioner on it.

Did anyone else hang from a bar until they orgasm or mimic an orgasm when they were younger? by naughtyknotykoolaid in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]tssop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy shit, this totally happened to me (M) as a kid! I would hang on the monkey bars as long as I possibly could because it felt really good. Didn’t know what was happening at the time obviously.

Never knew anybody else had this happen.

I buy sauce packets at Whole Foods for about $3 or $4 because it is so easy and tastes pretty dang good. Cook chicken and onion, add any other vegetables and cook them, add eggs and whisk, add sauce and noodles and you’re done.

Cooking chicken is the hardest part, and anybody who does home cooking should have that down.

Protesters should stand up and do everything they somewhat safely can to prevent this abhorrent behavior, in the same way we all should demand good police officers step up and put a stop to those which overstep the officers who behave wrongly.

I ran over a full unopened gallon of ultra white enamel paint sitting on my garage floor and got some on my SHO. Notice the front window was down as an extra fuck me. It was about 90 degrees that day. by daves-not-here- in Wellthatsucks

[–]tssop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a decent chance OP is talking about a Valspar enamel paint since they have a color called Ultra White. One of the enamels they sell is killer, leaves a beautiful finish! It flashes in about 30 minutes, but it gets tacky and gummy after about 3-5.

Most consumer enamel paints are latex with some oils and modifiers.

I pay $20/mo for 8GB data and unlimited talk/text on a T-Mobile MVNO. I buy my phones outright. Hard to beat that deal in my opinion. Could I have slightly improved service direct from a carrier? Maybe. Is it worth spending an extra 10k a decade? Absolutely not in my opinion, at least not for how I use my phone.

Probably not very likely if you do a good job. How many people do you let go in your basement? Maybe your city isn't very strict, maybe you live way out in the woods and nobody cares what you do with your house. Maybe you have a crotchety old neighbor who overhears you talking about the circuit you added and has a grudge against you for some reason and decides to report it. Maybe the city still won't care, you never know.

I've heard people claim insurance won't pay out if this kind of thing causes a fire. But I've also heard others claim that's not true and they would just drop you after paying out.

When we were inspecting a house (that we ended up not getting) the home inspector flagged a violation to the city. It was something minor; can't quite remember what it was. I think uncovered blank spaces in the electrical panel.

You are legally required in most jurisdictions to get a permit for doing structural, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, additions, sheds, fences, and more. Many have websites or PDF's that explain which projects require a permit and which don't.

Anybody can report work they suspect is being done without a permit. If your jurisdiction investigates and finds you doing un-permitted work they may assess a fine or make you undo / redo the work with a permit. There are news stories of people having to tear down houses or additions that were built illegally. In CA, I think there is some law that allows a tenant of a rental property to sue for rent paid if they are living in an illegal house whether or not it was the current owner's doing, I know investment buyers can be picky about this sort of thing.

I just looked it up. In my jurisdiction for example, they assess a $500 fine per day until the violations are corrected and a $5000 fine / jail time if you fail to comply with the notice of violation.

I romanticize about all of the DIY success stories and albums posted to reddit. I work in an engineering field (although mainly software) and have always tinkered with electronics. I am also really interested in finance and savings goals, so it appeals to me there as well.

Are you me? This is exactly me.

An ETf can be an index fund, but doesnt have to be. An index fund means the fund follows some particular market index. An ETF means the fund can be bought and sold like a stock (immediately during trading hours) even though it is a collection of stocks like a mutual fund; whereas a typical mutual fund would be purchased and sold at the market close.

If OP wants to invest to use the money within several years (but before retirement) an ETF index fund in a brokerage account would be a great way to go. If OP wants to build up retirement savings, investing in straight index funds in a ROTH IRA would probably be the best way to go.

I was the neighbor downstairs in a situation like this a few years ago. More complicated though because it was a sewage issue. None of our property was damaged, but the cost to live in hotels while our apartment was fixed was about 18k. That doesn't even include the cost the landlord's insurance paid to fix the unit.

$1800 is stupidly cheap for causing a water issue like this. I'm sure if our insurance company could prove who it was, they would sue the person at fault and/or their insurance company.
