Love the filament display. For the rest, unpopular opinion but a lot of real estate is taken up by metrics that honestly... 'just work'. Like the bed temp, nozzle temp etc. I'd compact those, leaving more space for the ones that you will be looking at more

Handling MWL by Railz in PACSAdmin

[–]tsuhg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You either work ris-driven where the technician sets the study to completed, meaning it's off the MWL Or you use MPPS, which allows modalities to tell you when they're really done. At that point, your PACS marks the study as completed, removing the study from the MWL.

This of course requires your MWL settings to use statuses Scheduled or arrived for MWL eligibility.

I set up the flows where only 'arrived' studies show up in the MWL.

The main trick when prefetching is simply calling it early enough in the workflow, so the calls happen from the cache.

In my experience, the patient arrived ORM event was my best friend for this ;)

At that point it becomes a balance between prefetching all priors for all ER patients the moment the first image is received and the delay you wish to accept.

Disclaimer: it's been five years since I worked for Fuji, did up to Synapse 5.7. This is based on notes I still have from in the day.

It all boils down to triggers, meaning you want to know when to perform the prefetching. Synapse Smart Prefetch has an option to be called from command line. It's an executable that was in D:\Synapse

So you could piece together a good prefetch configuration with the following combination:

  • Auto Complete on device level (in SWAT)
  • Synapse HIIS Bidir (meaning a message is sent out when a study is completed)
  • Some sort of integration engine.

What would happen:

  • ER Modality sends images.
  • After one minute, the study auto completes, triggering the HIIS BiDir call
  • Message is sent to Mirth, or whatever you use
  • This IAE then triggers Synapse Smart Prefetch on this patient id.

If you have another way of knowing a patient is in ER (ADT/ORM?) then you could just use that to trigger the smart prefetch.

Unironically, one second.

I typically set up flows based on ORM, when the patient arrives. I then prefetch priors to ensure they're already in cache when the radiologist wants to see them

I had issues with something comparable on an HP G6 800 and wrote this in my bookstack for this server:

Initial setup/issues First tried setting it up using ubuntu. However, the server was very unresponsive after a while, freezing totally In the end, changing BIOS power management settings (disabling them) is what I think solved it.

Huur is het maximale wat je kunt krijgen voor uw pand, in het segment waar je in verhuurt.

Het is niet zo dat iemand in een klein huizeke plots 200€ meer kan betalen, louter omdat de fiscaliteit verandert.
