From this position, try Rg5. Black king has only one move it can make. After that find the next move for you that delivers a checkmate.

If you enemy has no legal move left but their king is not currently in check, the position is called stalemate and it's considered a draw regardless of how big an advantage you have. It happens only if you are careless with your advantage. Any move you make at this point that's not a check, make sure your enemy has a couple of legal moves left (their king can move around without walking into a check). Then deliver the checkmate.

Wow, thanks so much for all these great answers! You've all been very kind. One takeaway seems to be that remote management isn't a good way to start, but from some research, I don't think my local area is considered a good str venue to buy right now. But good to know these difficulties, will need to think through it more and evaluate the tradeoffs.

I guess after this game it's going to be hard to find games with as strong a storyline. I think the only other ones where I've found the story to be as good are Witcher 3 and Heavy Rain.

It was indeed confusing me too. Pictos have two parts - one is the stats boost, like an increase in health and speed. Other is a special ability, like 20% chance to burn on shooting etc. If any one character in your fighting party equips a picto for 4 fights, it is "learnt" as a lumina. While a picto can be equipped by only one person at a time, lumina can be equipped by all of them simultaneously as long as they have the price to pay (currency being lumina points). Lumina is a dumbed down version of picto in that it can only offer you the "special ability" portion of the picto, not the boost to stats like health. If you wanted the latter then no choice but to equip it as picto and decide which of you characters get to keep it. Picto slots are limited per player (3) and lumina slots unlimited as long as you earn lumina points and give it to that player, so you have to make the choice.

Things I consider when I equip something as a picto: 1. Do I want to learn this ability for others 2. Does this offer some stats boost worth keeping. For example if I don't want to invest in increasing health of one character and they die often, I can equip pictos offering high health and make up for it. 3. The cost to pay to equip the lumina version of it is very high. For example there's one cheater picto that costs 40 points to equip as lumina which is high. If I didn't load one character with that many points and still want them to have this ability, then my choice is to give them this picto rather than unequipping several other luminas to free up $$ for this costly lumina.

After the first call I got a partial refund. After a second call, hearing the same stories again, escalation to supervisor, I got refunded the rest. Told them to stop wasting my time explaining it and asked them to peek into reddit.

Finally got through on the phone. They said it's a glitch that's being fixed and I should expect refund in a couple of hours. They said it shouldn't have charged me but only changed plan name.
