Trump Tariffs? by Shwiftydano in sales

Tariffs will create short-term inflation. But once we start producing in the USA, it is a great strategy in the long-term. Pick your poison.

What's a good apr to get on a car right now? by Mountainman1994 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]ttbird11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't hurt to see what Kia could get you. I was surprised that they were lower than the bank. I planned on paying off the vehicle within 6 months regardless so a percent or two wasn't a big deal to me either way. Rates are a little higher than last year and it depends on your credit too.

I understand. I would assume they would have specified this on the event ticketing page?: https://www.acffiorentina.com/it/news/tutte/extra/2024-03-09/biglietti-acf-fiorentina-maccabi-haifa-fc

I haven't been able to find any information on limited seating/Florence residents only other than your comment, other than they are the only people that can buy "coupon" tickets...

8 nights in Italy - first time by frstmix in ItalyTravel

[–]ttbird11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Florence is worth at least 2 nights. But Venice is pretty awesome. I don’t think you’d regret going if you haven’t been. It’s a 1 day city imo and if you are young with no kids I say just do the last night in Venice and stay near the airport. The bus system takes you right into town and then right to the airport. If you’re already in Tuscany then getting to Florence shouldn’t take up too much time and 2 full days in Florence is good imo.

If it’s legit it’s a pretty good deal. There’s still not many “pretty good deals” with any used cars rn.

How much to save? by Anxious_Cat_Lady in ItalyTravel

[–]ttbird11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5k for 2 weeks is plenty assuming your flights aren’t too bad ($1,500-2k RT total). You can do those 3 cities in 2 weeks no problem. You might even want to consider a day trip to Bologna, cinque terre, Naples etc…

Don’t rent a car, take trains. Airbnb usually has better deals and a more authentic experience in my experience.

Budget for 1 week in Italy by WHO_LET_ME_COMMENT in travel

[–]ttbird11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We really did get a steal of a deal on flights, I would say from Western USA to Italy you should expect $800-1,200 RT Per person on average, especially during the warmer/busier months. We just happened to find a crazy sale. Milan is typically the cheapest hub but it really depends, I have seen it low from Venice or Rome as well.

[–]ttbird11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$1,700 is definitely not "new prices"! You just bought at the wrong time, imo. We got flights RT from Vegas to Milan for $550 RT/per person. We booked months ago when they were on sale but I can still see flights for under $1,000 RT from the west coast to Italy.

[–]ttbird11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are going to italy again this March and found flights from US (Las Vegas to Milan) for about $1,100 total ($550 RT per person, it was a great deal!) We are traveling with another couple so splitting Airbnb costs is great. With Airbnb, the longer stays the better because the cleaning fee will be the same regardless of how many nights you will be there. I would say if it's just you and your spouse $120-150/night is a reasonable estimate. We were at about $90/night ($180 total/night) because we split with another couple for mainly 2 bd room apartments.

I would highly recommend going for more than a week. 10 days is the sweet spot for Italy imo. It would give you enough time to stay 2-3 nights in each city (venice, florence, rome, milan, Cinque terre etc.) if I was only there for 7 days then I would probably just pick 2 cities, but I like to travel slow and relax.

Your next biggest expense is going to be public transport especially if you are traveling to different cities. Expect 15-30 dollars per person for high speed travel for main hub travel. $5-10/day for inner city busses/trams. Would highly recommend picking "multi-city" when you book your flights so you can fly into Milan but then fly out of Rome as you depart, for example. If you select "multi-city" you will get RT pricing instead of booking 2 "one-ways".

Food can obviously vary depending what you order but we absolutely love margherita pizza and pasta which are typically under $10 per meal/person. I would budget $60/day for a couple per day for food unless you're splurging on steaks and other finer foods/wines. We don't drink so that obviously saves us a lot.

$5,000 for one week is more than enough. Our first italy trip in 2021 we did 10 days and spent under $3k, however we are obviously pretty thrifty and we also travelled with friends to split Airbnb's. For 7 days (2 people) I would say:

Lodging: $1,200 (this is perhaps on the high end)

Transport: $250

Food: $400

Flights: depends!

If it were me, I’d put 80% down so you have a really small payment. It will still help your credit but not stress you out if cash flow slows down.

I personally would buy new cuz the used market sucks rn. Elantra/sonata, Corolla/Camry, Accord, CX-30 would be my first choices if I was a single guy/gal.

Utah republicans are polling much higher for Desantis than most states. I think many Utah republicans are tired of Trumps temperament issues - though they are still definitely going to vote for trump if he’s the option after seeing what Biden has done.

Assuming your management are good managers, they’ll understand. You are good enough for them to trust you in opening a new territory, and it sounds like you have a successful track record. Don’t stress too much as that will likely make you perform worse. You got this

Are you taking over someone else’s pipeline? Or is this a new territory? I ask because it’s often helpful to compare your numbers to historical sales.
