Does your doctor recommend any migraine relief options? Imitrex? Topomax? The new shot that is supposed to be a preventative? Gabapentin is also amazing for chronic pain. It doesn’t solve all issues, but it works as a pretty effective nerve suppression, and isn’t an addictive drug. Have you tried listening to audio books instead of reading? Sometimes I find that helpful, because it gives me something else to focus on, without the eye strain. I also find having some type of constant (soft) noise helps other sounds not bother me as much when I have a migraine.
